I see he's already starting to Swa his money away!

Talking Poker 10-16-06 12:20 AM

He sat at a table where I was playing.... started with $600, dropped a little bit, doubled through Q9 (TPTK) with his KK, , reloaded for the remaining $400 in his account (I assume), dropped $100 and then promptly lost the rest by making this stellar call:

This was all within 20 hands, mind you.

LOL

Talking Poker 10-16-06 12:43 AM

eejit's Signature is currently this:

Don't you all agree that he should change it from the amount of his miracle hit to what's left of his roll with a trend indicator ( :) or :( )? ie, something like this:

$59,400 :(

(That's just a guess. I hope I'm not too far on the high side)

omahilo 10-16-06 01:01 AM

lol he is already pissing away all that money....

jimmym 10-16-06 06:47 AM

Madness, were hes from is a really nice part of wales but not know for much high paid work, a place old people go to re-tire and end there days or go on Holiday.
What he won equates to a small furtune he could of possible set himself up with a small buisness, bought a share in a small B+B, Pub or stall when the Holiday season starts.
Like Bri, eEEJIT has told us about his struggles, losing his job, not earing much and playing low entry games. Then finally he hakes good, I hope for him he doesnt continue on pissing it away, I have read now two posts in two days were he has lost in two hands what 50% of people in the UK earn in a month.
I know its his money and he can do what he wants, but I get a bad feeling in me when I see this happen, people with nothing win alot to most of us but then piss it away.

Aequitas58 10-16-06 06:50 AM

"tiltness" LOL... More like donkeyness.

Aequitas58 10-16-06 06:55 AM

I understand he lives ~200 miles from where you do, so you might share some kind of national comraderie, but he's an idiot. My suggestion is to get used to seeing these kinds of posts. He doesn't strike me as a particularly smart chap, and the truth of the matter is, he luckboxed his way into a nice tournament win (which I guess gives ME hope).

He's going to learn an expensive lesson over the next few months.

eejit101 10-16-06 11:52 AM

to be honest i dont give a shit what you say.

I was drunk, it was my birthday, id just won A $109 and 2nd in a $215 SnG for $1k on stars, so overall even.

If you wanna play now, lets go.

What about that private table.

Its also kinda insulting what your doing. "oh look at me, im the big man now" e.t.c. We know you win loat, we know im a twat, lets leave it there. Shit, i bluffed you out of 1 pot and havent said anything.

JDMcNugent7 10-16-06 12:11 PM

50% of people in the UK make like 2k a month?

Talking Poker 10-16-06 12:18 PM

Assuming you are talking to me, I don't know what in the world you are talking about. I'm not saying that I am the big man (or that I win a lot) - it was more putting you back in YOUR place a bit, and hopefully helping remind you that you really don't need to continue to play above your head and piss away all the money that you won. Go read jimmym's post, if you somehow missed it.

And bluffing is part of the game, is it not? Goody for you. Seems as if I got it all back in the end, didn't I? Well, I got my money back and the other guys got the rest of yours.

Anyway, I'd think this would be a good reality check for you, and like JD said in the other thread, this 20 hand donksession of yours last night could be a good thing for you and SAVE you money in the long run (Edit: Actually, he said winning might have been a bad thing for you - but it's along the same lines)... but instead of cashing out mot of your big hit and playing at more reasonable levels, you are challenging me to take more of your money? Are you even serious? Why would you do that??? If you feel that I'm the "big man" and you are a "twat," why in the world would you want me to take more of your money?

I win by searching out players who aren't as good as me, not by picking on those who are better than me. Don't be stupid.

Aequitas58 10-16-06 12:19 PM

CAN YOU LEAVE?

jimmym 10-16-06 12:56 PM

The average wage in the UK is 29k pounds per year, around 55k US. dollars

Tony Cheval 10-16-06 01:02 PM

Classic.

eejit101 10-16-06 01:25 PM

is it hell:eek:

more like £14,000 nationwide, it might be that much down south cos the standard of living is so high, the cencus reckons about £14-15k p/annum. And for me in my current job/s, that win equates to approximately £35,000, which is 2 and a bit years wages up here.

Oh jimmy, yeah elderly retire here, but damn drugs are taking over the surrounding area.

eejit101 10-16-06 01:27 PM

yeah, on a serious less pissed off note, i dont often play 3/6, i play 2/4 NL and SnGs mainly.

Played 5 SnGs today, $55 - $215, wherever the action was, and cashed in 4 of them. That was a bit of a donkament for me, and i regret it, drink fuelled poker is not good, as i now know.

It wont happen again, not in the near future anyway.

jimmym 10-16-06 01:45 PM

Jesus 14k average, I think people earn more than than on social security, in my area the average pay for jobs is.

corporate directors earn the most money, with an average of £60,000. These are followed by technical director at £50,510; corporate manager at £40,170; and technical manager at £39,570.

Non-managerial roles in design and development, production, technical, and test and service, range from £33,790 down to £26,460.

To earn the most money you need to work in the components sector, which is probably benefiting from the growth of fabless chip design firms. This is followed by the traditionally more lucrative computers sector, followed by communications and broadcast.

To earn above the national average, you need to be in East Anglia, London, the south east and Scotland, but avoid the Midlands and the north west as the average wage is below £32,000 here.

When it comes to getting a pay rise the electronics industry is not doing too well. According to the Office of National Statistics, the average annual rate of salary growth in the UK at the time of the survey was 4.3 per cent, but 78 per cent of respondents got less than this with the average for the electronics industry being 3.44 per cent.

So, if you won 2 and half times your local average yearly wage invest it well, use it to change your life, dont play against players like TP and JD, believe me you wont win, these guys will take your money and laugh.
Stick to your level and play within your budget.

Good luck eeejit, I feel you will need it.

MAYHEM45 10-16-06 01:50 PM

What?

Talking Poker 10-16-06 02:04 PM

Make up your damn mind please. I've been waiting for you (playing) for the past hour and a half...

eejit101 10-16-06 02:16 PM
