27% RakeBack at Full Tilt...

ended up getting pretty messy, with Full Tilt's affiliate department going back and forth about if existing players would be eligible for rakeback or not (they no longer are), so I'm killing that thread and starting this new one.

Here is a summary of the good stuff, with up to date information:

-----
The maximum rakeback allows affiliates to give is 27%, which is exactly what I will be giving you.

If you don't already have a Full Tilt account:

1. Use to download Full Tilt Poker and create a new account.

2. Once you have set up your new account, PM me with your Full Tilt Player ID. I'll confirm that you are being tracked to me, and that's all there is to it!

Then all you need to do is play (the more the better!), and I will transfer 27% of the rake you generate* back into your player account after Full Tilt pays me. This is usually done on or around the 15th of the following month. Please note that you need to earn at least $5 of rake back in a given month, as $5 is the minimum amount Full Tilt will allow me to transfer to you.

*Please note that things like "Player Fees" (for deposits and withdraws, I assume), "Bonuses Earned," and even "Used Points" are deducted from your TOTAL rake generated, before the 27% is calculated. I am not 100% certain on this, but it appears that Full Tilt values player points at 200 points per $1, so if you were to spend 3600 points on a flexfit cap, for example, your gross rake would drop $18, which would cause the rakeback you receive from to decrease $4.86.

Payments for October's play have been completed (transferred directly into your Full Tilt accounts). If anyone has a question about the amount of money I transferred them, shoot me a PM and I'll send you the breakdown. By now, you guys know that you can trust me, so hopefully I won't get tons of requests, but I don't mind breaking it down for you, especially for this first month.

how long is this rakeback thing gonna last? is this like somethin that u'll only offer for like a month, and whoever gets it gets it, or its gonna be here for a while?

Talking Poker 11-16-06 02:41 AM

Why would I only offer this for a month?

As far as I'm concerned, this is forever, but obviously there are a lot of things out of my control, like Full Tilt staying open for business for starters. But no, this is not a "temporary" deal.

Ando05 11-16-06 03:01 AM

i think u got my question confused, mabye i didnt ask it the right way, i meant is there a deadline for ppl singing up for it

Talking Poker 11-16-06 03:11 AM

If I didn't see any come in, that's because I'm still clearing my first deposit bonus with them, right?

Talking Poker 12-17-06 01:28 AM

I honestly don't remember seeing your name in my reports. Let me double check right now.

Yeah, I don't even see your name. Are you MathBabe? Did you sign up through my link? Did I confirm that you were being tracked to me? I can't seem to find any of this right now after a quick look through my PMs...

Edit: Upon further review, I found the PMs, and this was an error/oversight on my part. I do indeed owe you money, and I apologize for somehow missing this. I'll figure out the numbers tomorrow and transfer you what I owe you. Again, my apologies.

PShabi 12-17-06 03:59 AM

plz ban

MathBabe 12-18-06 04:23 PM

Got the money - thanks!

I would have made it a lot easier on you if I'd actually signed up as MathBabe. Sorry about that, I'm glad I asked.

December's Rake Back payments have been completed. If you didn't get a transfer and think you should have, or if you'd like to see a detailed breakdown of how your RB was calculated, feel free to PM me with your Full Tilt screen name and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Also, as a reminder, when you use points to purchase things from Full Tilt's store, the "value" of the item(s) you purchase comes off of your total Rake. I believe that Full Tilt values points at 200 points per $1, so if you spend 25,000 points on a jersey, that would reduce your total rake by 25,000/200 = $125, which would reduce your RB payment by $125 * .27 = $33.75.

That's pretty standard, but one thing you may not know is that every time you use the Cashier to Deposit or Withdraw funds to/from your account, you incur what are known as "Player Fees," which also come off the top of your Total Rake generated. These are typically not significant, but sometimes they can be. One player (I PM'd him) actually had $162 in Player Fees in December, for example, costing him about $44 in RB. This was only a small fraction of what he earned for the month, but still.

Anyway, I have no idea how these fees are calculated, or if they are on a per transaction or % basis, but be aware that if you are cashing out a lot, this will also reduce your RB. Rather than cash out 5 times per week, you may want to cash out just once every couple of weeks.

$506!!!! bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang

Don't you just LOVE IT when the number is higher than you expected???

Cashouts dont count against MGR, only deposits.

Talking Poker 01-15-07 04:07 PM

I just did some research and it seems you may be right. It looks like FT charges a % of the deposit amount, which can obviously add up to be a lot for big players... and the % varies based on the deposit method. I don't have a specific breakdown.

Moral of the story: Try not to cash out too much when you do, because redepositing (if you go broke) will affect your Total Rake.

Odd

If I were FullTilt, I would do the opposite. From a business perspective, sites should do everything in their power to encourage players to put money in, and discourage taking money out. You'd think they'd eat the fees/MGR for deposits, and make it up on the other end.

Then again, there are probably a lot more deposits than withdrawls ....

I don't even want to know how much I've lost doing this process over and over again.

I think I've done this at least five times.

GeoffM 01-16-07 09:22 AM

LMFAO, ditto, except the 10k part is more along 5k for myself.

I think I might jump on this rakeback bandwagon in February...if I can find some damn spare time.

Talking Poker 02-07-07 01:53 PM

January's rakeback payments have been completed. As always, if you have a question or would like to see the exact breakdown of how your RB was calculated, just shoot me a PM.

Also, for Full Tilt player "Without Help" (I forget who that is here), please PM me. Your transfer was declined. The reason given was this:
