What happened to the wednesday nite ones? Thusday = first nite campus pub is open = hitting on the freshies when the gf isnt looking nite. Needless to say, I cant make this one.

Talking Poker 09-05-06 01:11 PM

We are having our TPF Fantasy Football draft this Wednesday night.

The Wednesday ones kind of died off when the last one had like 4 people sign up or something sad like that.

We need at least 10 for me to bother with this again any time soon.

Kurn 09-07-06 03:56 PM

I'm up for it, but I won't be able to sign up until closer to start time.

Reel Deal 09-07-06 04:12 PM

Same for me, if I can do it it will be a last minute thing.

kkirk1329 09-07-06 04:43 PM

registered.

Talking Poker 09-07-06 05:34 PM

Dammit - I forgot all about this and have plans to watch the game. I have to unregister. If something changes and I can play, I will, but given the whopping ONE other person registered, it doesn't look like this was gonna be a big turnout anyway.

No more complaining about not having tourneys like these when I set them up and no one plays.

kkirk1329 09-07-06 07:00 PM

guess im out to then lol

Robbie Robb 09-07-06 07:00 PM

Well, I'm registered now and now I'm the only one...

eejit101 09-08-06 07:16 PM

Zybomb 09-08-06 07:37 PM

Kurn 09-11-06 03:49 PM

<shrug> Many of your checks and bets throught the match were individually unreadable. However, after a while some seemed out of place in the context of the earlier play of the hand. When you made that last bet I thought "Huh?? That doesn't make sense." Big bets that make no sense are usually bluffs.

Kurn 09-11-06 04:08 PM

Yeah, you definitely got the short end of the deck on these.

The second hand, though, is clearly a kamikaze move, hoping you'll lay down a good hand and keep your chip lead. If not, at that point I'm willing to gamble as a 3:2 dog. Got lucky.

The first hand is different. I already sense that you get how to play HU, so your raise means, well, your raise means you feel like raising simply because I limped. When you bet the flop, as aggro as I am, I figure you don't have a flush and also you probably don't have a single big flush card more than 1/3 of the time. In those cases I think you're more likely to check and let me take a stab at the pot. Also, I think the bet is more likely to represent a K than be a K, so in short, I think I have huge fold equity when I push. I don't think I was wrong about your range for the bet, its just that you had one of the hands in your range that you would call with more often. I got a bit unlucky with this one at first because I really expected you to fold, but I was still close to even money when the cards were flipped over.

When I get to HU at the end of SNGs, I win close to 2/3 of the time, mainly because I play aggressively and most opponents fold too often.

Of course, sometimes they call correctly and I still win.;)

Reel Deal 09-11-06 10:27 PM

That's nice to hear from you Kurn. I credit HOH vol. 2 and my time spent here reading your, TP, Zy and other's posts.
