I can't tucking fake it!

I know most, if not all, of my NL play is on Stars, so I don't really have a comparison.

However, I must conclude, FUCKING RIVERSTARS SUCKS DICK! I would be lying if I thoughts weren't entering my head about this shit. I'm at the point where I just envision the card and it comes.

"Stop envisioning your opponent's card"

1. Close your eyes...

2. Envision your 2 cards only

3. Take a deep breath & count to 3

4. Open you eyes...

5. Good Luck 2 you!

JDMcNugent7 06-01-06 02:33 PM

you lost a coinflip.

Talking Poker 06-01-06 02:42 PM

I was thinking the same thing. If this is a bad beat for pshabi.... damn... I wouldn't mind being pshabi for a while!

Reel Deal 06-01-06 02:50 PM

I spent last night on RiverStars enduring runner-runner crap... a mere coin flip loss would have been a breath of fresh air.

PShabi 06-01-06 02:58 PM

It was a coinflip preflop. I'm more complaining about the 2-out river. I think I was a favorite there. Both JD and TP can fuck right off anytime they want. Actually, even if they don't want to.

Then, of course, I open up another tourney right away, 10 minutes before an important meeting that I FORGOT ABOUT.

So, I got to sit out and bust 5th and just gave away $27.

LIFE TILT.

I think he'd be better off with a 'BUD' in that case. ;)

PShabi 06-01-06 03:58 PM

It gets 'em everytime.

de-coder 06-01-06 05:49 PM

I wasn't going to do this, but I can't help myself.

I don't normally read the bad beats, but I couldn't pass up this one with a title like that. I couldn't wait - AA vs. KK, AK vs KQ, QQ vs JTo - or my personal favourite - Ace high flush loses to bonzai full house on the river (you called on a 5% draw! Are you kidding me!) what could it be?

A coin flip! The title is right - I can't fucking take it any more either. Holy crap it's coin flip for pete's sake.

Pardon me for saying so, but you gave up the ability (and the right) to play a post flop game when you pushed all in - at that point, with 5 cards to come, it was coin flip.

Would you be this mad if the queen came out first and then an ace came out? - probably not, but the 2 situations are identical.

I'm kinda new here, but from what I've picked up so far I actually think you're pissed because you figure you could've gotten him off the queens if you hadn't pushed pre-flop - but I might be wrong...

PShabi 06-01-06 06:21 PM

No pardon. You're on the "Life Tilt, Fuck You" list with the other dipshits as of right now. Just ask them how their day has been going. I own KARMA.

I finally JUST NOW realized it was a coinflip. Thank you for pointing that out. But particular favorite feature at RIVERSTARS is the inevitable two-out river card to bust my ass, proceeded by the software quirk I know refer to as the "doom delay."

You all know what I'm talking about. When an opponent has got 4 outs or less with one card to come, and the software freezes, just for a split second. Enough time to give the layperson time to count their outs. Enough time to let me type:

Q
Q
Q
Q
Q
Q
Q
Q
Q
Q
Q
Q
Q
Q
Q
Q
Q

in the chatbox right before the miracle queen hits.

I appreciate your input about the bad beat though. Maybe they should it add it to the sticky at the top of the bad beat forum. The one that I FUCKING WROTE!

de-coder 06-01-06 06:35 PM

I didn't know there was a sticky thread in here, but now I've read it and it's pretty funny.

PShabi 06-01-06 06:49 PM

 Yeah, it's good for a laugh right around "Redbank's" first post!:D

redbank09 06-01-06 06:53 PM

i didnt even read what my first post was but i bet it was funny. i suck at life i know. if life was a game of poker i would be 2 7o.

redbank09 06-01-06 06:58 PM

ha, i went back to read that, i dont know what i was thinking then. i just started playing, funny thing is, i was probably better then. i promise im trying to improve my posts thats why i havent made alot lately.

johnp158 06-01-06 07:16 PM

I really hate that play, btw. That early in the SNG, even a flat call would be better. Tight is right at the beginning of those things.

PShabi 06-01-06 07:46 PM

Wow. Thanks for making me feel better. Lighten up brother.:)

PShabi 06-01-06 07:48 PM

Turbo, but I hear ya. LIFE TILT.

redbank09 06-01-06 07:52 PM

i wasnt being serious, just making light of the sitiuation.

bunny 06-01-06 07:56 PM

I'd give you a hug, but no one seems to appreciate them anymore. :(

eejit101 06-01-06 09:12 PM

nah, hugs are over-rated. A blowjob..... theres a dilemma

Talking Poker 06-01-06 09:19 PM

Uh oh.... looks like Penguinfan hacked pshabi's account!!!

johnp158 06-02-06 03:41 PM

I only scanned the post before I posted, so I kinda missed all the stuff about life tilt. Sorry. Realize you weren't looking for advice there.

I recognized it was a Turbo b/c of the buyin and b/c I recognized one of the names as a regular. I've been playing a lot of these lately. A few hundred under my belt right now with a 12%ish ROI. I might make a post about it pretty soon. Even in a turbo, I'm pretty sure that's not a move that you want to be in the habit of making. It's all read-dependent, but that's my general thought.

Good luck with the life tilt.
