new section

i know this forum only has 210 members of whom 50-65% are active. But since we are having our own tournaments then i would like to propose a new section. Tournaments/Home Games. That way it covers all tournament play as well as all tournament strategy vs ring strategy, as well as give info on local home games and such. Just a thought.

Good idea... but for now, I'm going to stick with the fewer sections the better approach. IT's not like there is THAT much activity that's posts are falling off the first page of the forum every few hours or so... People should have no problem keeping up until we get significantly larger.

If and when I do add more sections though, I'm sure Tourneys will be one of them. Non-Hold'Em games will be another.

I second the motion

A section for upcoming tourneys would let us check quickly if there's somewhere we should be playing. Could you separate the upcoming from the completed events?

Also, I like to railbird, so I'd benefit from a "Come Watch Me" section, where people could post what they're up to. I guess that I generally find these under New Posts, so maybe that's not as useful.

that wouldnt be bad Sea since alot of people do post what they are doing and try to get people to railbird them when they are deep into a MTT.

I think there should be a:

Questions for Geoff Section :D .

Seems to me a lot of posts are directed at me, not that I blame any of you guys :p .

Good ideas. I've been considering the "Railbird Me" section for a long time now, but I think the Tourney one is a good idea too. Right now, when they are upcoming, they are sticky in the main section, so they are pretty easy to spot. When they are in progress and/or over, they aren't, so they fall off. But still a decent idea.

Tada:

I'll try to move some of the older, yet appropriate threads in here, but I'm not going to go after them all... too much work ;)
