lol @ that.

adam13 06-13-06 03:27 AM

wow, it takes balls to call when you need to hit runners to take the pot....LOL

Don't worry, those are the guys who always pay you in the end!!!

Reel Deal 06-13-06 10:25 AM

I realize this guy's play was horrid, but why are you calling 10xBB PFRs with KTs out of position?

left68wing 06-13-06 01:02 PM

he was raising that every hand, i know i could have picked a better spot, but i was sure my KT was going to be ahead

Talking Poker 06-13-06 01:33 PM

Prime example of thinking bad players (or aggressive ones) can never have good hands.

This can be a COSTLY mistake.

lightfungus 06-13-06 01:41 PM

What do you do i this situation, if you have verified after observation that the guy is reckless, and not a very good poker player? Wait for a better hand, one that you would be willing to go against a solid opponent with? Or do you lower you hand-quality requirements to go after this guy?

left68wing 06-13-06 02:03 PM

note the section i put this in:thumbsup:

Reel Deal 06-13-06 02:28 PM

1. pick a hand where you have position;
2. pick a hand that's better than KTs (I'd take 89s over KT); and
3. play him more aggressively preflop (ie, don't call his raise, reraise him).

Talking Poker 06-13-06 02:30 PM

I'm folding KT in EP fom the start, but if I had limped with it, I'd fold to the 10x raise. I want to play strong hands against this guy, and CERTAINLY not trouble hands. At best, this is a drawing hand (making the first call ok, hoping for a cheap flop and a multiway pot). This is NOT a hand you want to play heads up. Especially against a guy you know you can break with a better hand.
