Seahawks

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe the best team in National Football League plays about a mile and a half from my house. Of the last ten games played, they have won … let me check again … all of them.

Does anyone not from the Pacific Northwest think this team is for real yet? Superbowl bound?

FatRufus 12-19-05 07:57 PM

I agree i think the seahawks are very good and i also think that sports analysts underrate them

Talking Poker 12-19-05 10:29 PM

They have an awesome, awesome team. The SB is going to be a great game when it's them and the Colts.

PShabi 12-19-05 11:45 PM

They're for real. But so is Chicago's defense.

Good luck with that.

Seattle has won 10 in a row and clinched a bye week in the playoffs, but don't mistake weak competition for making a great team. Last time I checked they played in the worst division in football. Yes, the Hawks just got back their best WR, Darrell Jackson, but don't give them the NFC championship yet. Let's be real here...St. Louis(5-9), Arizona(4-10), and San Fran.(2-12) have combined for a 11-31 record. Put any decent team in Seattle's position and they would be dominating too. For example, put the Redskins(last team to beat Seattle) in the division and move Seattle out.

Skins vs NFC West : 20-17 vs Seattle, 52-17 vs SF, 24-9 at STL, 17-13 at AZ

Don't give too much credit for a good(need to prove more to be great team) team beating JV teams!

I am from the south and the SeaHawks have a great team. Big test this comming weekend, should be fun to watch for sure against the Colts. Superbowl bound? well the way they are rolling they might just win it all this year.

eddo31 12-20-05 12:48 PM

im just pissed that they cost me on my parlay this week. i nailed everything else, just needed them to cover to take down a good sized payday.

i still think that they will get smacked around by whoever comes out of the afc. they are a good team, but to me they just havent shown that they can beat great competition yet. just about every team in the nfc has serious question marks about them for me right now. they should make it out of the nfc to he super bowl, but beyond that i dont have great expectations for them.

Do any of you guys think that Shaun Alexander will get consideration for the MVP. In my opinion, I believe that he should, I mean look at the numbers. He has over 1600 rushing yards, 24 TD's, and if you take him off of the Seahawks, then the team really isnt nothing. I think that Alexander should get the nod this year as MVP, and if not league MVP, then FANTASY FOOTBALL MVP for sure. I mean the guy has carried my team for the entire year. Also, what about his contract? He only has a deal through the end of this year. Do you guys see the Seahawks letting him go and trying to find someone to replace him? Or is this going to be another Walter Jones situation, where the Franchise Tag him for three years before they can finally get the deal done. Now, getting back to the original topic, I think that the Seahawks have all the talent in the world, and I think that they will do well in the playoffs this year. This weeks game with INDY, assuming that INDY plays all of its starters, and that the Seahawks play all of its starters, is going to be a good test to see where the Seahawks are, as far as being tested goes. In my opinion, I think that this game here could very well be a preview of the SUPERBOWL matchup coming up in Detroit!

Talking Poker 12-20-05 07:18 PM

Alexander definitely deserves to be the MVP, but he probably won't get it. I had him on my fantasy team too, btw :)

420Smurf 12-20-05 07:20 PM

LoL Don't forget about the Bengals, but I agree S. Alexander should be MVP no ?s asked, He has made my fantasy QB a stud for sure this year, glad i picked Hasselbeck this year for sure, but anyhow go SeaHawks and go MR. MVP.

Seahawks vs Chicagos AMAZING Defense...chicago...seattles defense..questionable under pressure..How can the favourite NOT be the colts..one loss, good on both sides of the ball..dont forget about the Broncos just yet..they my underdog

Favre[4] 12-20-05 08:00 PM

Dont forget Seattle kinda strugled vs Titans and Titans arent that great of a team.

GeoffM 12-21-05 08:35 AM

It's going to be tough for the Colts to play in the Super Bowl when New England has already claimed the AFC slot :p.

Talking Poker 12-21-05 12:44 PM

How's that?

Did I sleep through the playoffs or something?

GeoffM 12-21-05 03:19 PM

I don't see anyone touching them. The only key player they are now missing is Harrison. It is nearly impossible to run the ball against them, and come playoff time Brady is simply cash.

Talking Poker 12-21-05 03:46 PM

I will gladly make you a wager than the Pats won't make it to the SB. $10?

GeoffM 12-21-05 04:12 PM

I will gladly take them with the spread in any game :D.

kmb13592 12-21-05 06:12 PM

No way. Seahawks are so overrated. Let me remind you of the Redskins beating the seahawks which will proably happen again in the playoffs.
