average player winrates.

I was slumming around 2+2 and stumbled upon this bit of info from thread about winrates-

"Average Micro player is -5 PTBB/100
Average $200 NL player is -3.3 PTBB/100
Averate $1000 NL player is -1.2 PTBB/100"

this stat was posted today, but do you think it is accurate?

That thread makes my head hurt

Three quarters down, someone writes

"Rakeless poker is zero sum. The average winrate is, by definition, zero. The average winrate of raked poker is, by definition, the average rake paid per hundred hands."

which is correct. The rest of it makes little sense.

There seem to be two others questions.

How many hands do I need to be confident in my win-rate. I suspect this is answerable, (but not be me), and is not related to the other conversation in the thread.

More interesting, is what is the median loss-rate of your typical player (i.e. most players lose xBB per hundreds hands), but even data-mining, I think this would be impossible to answer with any kind of confidence.
