Bad Beat Jackpot is at 421k +

Just be prepared to lose some big pots that you should have won.

fonzerelli_79 01-12-05 05:38 PM

what a payoff that would be!! :D

dont think anyone would go near the play money after winning that - lol

Talking Poker 01-12-05 08:38 PM

Holy.... that's freaking big. $441k and growing fast now.

Here fishy fishy fishy.... :D

Aequitas58 01-12-05 10:02 PM

It's over $450k now. I'm playing 2 $2/4 tables, and I'm already up $23 after 10 minutes. Love it!

Talking Poker 01-12-05 10:46 PM

I played since I made that last post (400ish hands of $5/$10 - 3 tabling), and finished up just shy of $400. I took some sick, sick, sick beats, but those same morons were nice enough to pay me off a number of other times. You just have to keep your head.

I just found a few of the single worst players I have ever seen.

Need food. May be back later. Too good to pass this up.

johnbaker 01-13-05 02:52 AM

my friend almost hit the jackpot using my account... someone had four 8's and he had a royal flush draw, didnt hit it

Talking Poker 01-13-05 04:40 AM

I had no idea how soft these tables were. I may never play another NON-BBJ table again. This is insane.

It's like they are just throwing their money at me, and I barely have time to run around and pick it all up. Sure, the suckouts are annoying, but those players are what make these games so profitable.

I can't wait to see what my session number turn out to be. I'm tired and have wanted to quit for a while now, but I can't tear myself away!

Talking Poker 01-13-05 04:50 AM

Btw...

Did I mention that this thing will be at a HALF A MILLION DOLLARS in about an hour???

That's crazy.

badblood44 01-13-05 09:30 AM

I almost stayed home from work today to play the BBJ tables...

The wife said, "Hey, why not?" :)

Windbreaker 01-13-05 07:19 PM

Ya, this jackpot keeps growing...it's pretty crazy. How high can it get?

Poker Bookshelf 01-14-05 12:08 AM

It hit $600,000 around midnight EST. Still climbing fast.

omahilo 01-14-05 02:27 AM

the jackpot is currently at 621K... is this the largest party jackpot ever?

Talking Poker 01-14-05 02:27 AM

It could easily et to $1,000,000. Will it? I kinda doubt it, but it certainly could.

Think about this too.... 50 cents per hand. That means (for the most part) 1.2 million hands have been played since that last qualifying bad beat.

NOW do you see why you shouldn't chase the jackpot, but rather for the fish chasing the jackpot???

omahilo 01-14-05 03:16 AM

626K and growing fast lol... I was counting earlier and there were 34 15/30 HE tables going and 30 of them were full... that is crazy.

Talking Poker 01-14-05 04:24 AM

Easy come easy go...

The morons are out in full force tonight, calling down with their bottom pairs and hitting their kickers on the river. Over and over and over again. And don't even get me started about the runner runner flushes. I know these are the guys I should love playing with (I certainly did last night), but damn it gets annoying when they suckout so much in one session.

Aequitas58 01-14-05 04:53 AM

It's 4:52am, I see that you're also playing.

And I've taken a huge hit tonight. Not necessarily bad beats, but these guys are hitting real long shots.

badblood44 01-14-05 08:46 AM

Yeah, I knew I was in trouble when I said I hadn't lost there yet. Two consecutive -15BB sessions dented me up a bit. My favorite was AA vs 3,4. You can guess who won.

I saw someone once calculate the odds of hitting the jackpot, and they truly were astronomical. So being there for the fish is probably the best plan.

Talking Poker 01-14-05 12:32 PM

Probably???

Could there be any other plan?

GeoffM 01-14-05 01:11 PM

TP, shut up already :p .

You're starting to sound like an infomercial for the bad beat tables on PP :D LMAO!

badblood44 01-14-05 01:46 PM

I am a master of understatement :)

Aequitas58 01-14-05 06:18 PM

Another plan could be to try to hit the jackpot! The jackpot is the highest it's ever been. I don't know about you, but I feel like it's going to be hit any time now.

Anyone else keep dreaming how life-changing it would be to win $250,000?

PShabi 01-14-05 08:30 PM

Bye Bye credit card debt!

Windbreaker 01-14-05 10:10 PM

So much for the jackpot, looks like winner got close to 259k :(
