This led to some amusing chat...

So, this guy is 67/7. His WtSD is 28%, and he almost never folds to flop or turn bets. He's down over $4k through 1000 hands of 2/4. MASSIVE fish.

So naturally, after this hand, he went off on me for being a "*censored* chaser," and so on and so forth. I found that pretty amusing, considering how this hand played out. After I laughed at him, he ripped into me for another 30 or 40 minutes, but after busting 2-3 more times, he finally left.

Anyway, look at me chase!!!

you big fish:thumbsup:

Talking Poker 04-24-07 08:15 PM

It's true. I mean, he was ahead preflop... you know, when he completed from the SB and I checked behind. Other than that though................ LOL.

Invigilator 04-24-07 08:27 PM

"you're a chaser!" "No! you're a chaser" LOL

LOL. You couldn't get a better "pot calling the kettle black" scenario! He just got pissed off b/c he chased and got a weaker hand. Oh yeah, and of course, you were ahead from the flop on! ;)

Gotta love days like that!

eejit101 04-24-07 08:47 PM

there was me thinking u were ahead all the way.

Invigilator - if your sig is meant to be the card rankings its :s: :h: :d: :c: btw. if not then tell me the shut up

Invigilator 04-24-07 09:11 PM

hadn't thought about it...

No indication of rank intended. But I wouldn't tell you to shut up. I appreciate all the info exchange that comes in this place.

Any idea about the history of why the rankings are that way? It would be interesting to know.

And because I appreciate you...

MAYHEM45 04-24-07 09:39 PM

Its from one of the oldest card games, bridge.

Robbr25 04-24-07 11:09 PM

Damn you for voluntarily putting money into the pot when you had the best hand.
Nice of him to give you his money.
One of the reasons I do not like the hand converter is the lack of names.
Who is this fish so we all can take a bite, lol.

Talking Poker 04-24-07 11:37 PM

Well, luckily for you the hand didn't convert properly, so I posted the original in the HH Converter thread for de-coder to have a look at. Enjoy...

I see dumb people.

Invigilator 04-25-07 05:29 PM

thanks, but why...

Thanks, I did not know that. What I was wondering though, is if there was a history or some symbolism behind why the ranks are in that order.

I'll look into that.

Ando05 04-25-07 05:36 PM

i heard hearts are the biggest ranked suit in poker, though it doesnt really matter, but thats what i heard

Talking Poker 04-25-07 11:39 PM

You heard wrong.

I've always heard it was alphabetical - :c: :d: :h: :s: - but I see some people do it like this: :d: :c: :h: :s:
(Low to High)

For 7 card stud (to determine the bring in), I've always seen it done alphabetically.
