I'll learn eventually. You gave me similar advice about playing a flopped flush before. I'll put a sticky note on the monitor.

Also, while neither is a HUGE mistake, I don't really like cold calling (overcalling, no less) a raise with KTs or limping with Q2s from the blinds - especially in a full ring game. Mixing it up is fine, blah blah blah, but you're going to want to be folding these hands a lot more than you are playing them.

The KT hand is a good example, expecially... It worked out for you, but more often than not, you're just going to get in trouble here.

So the Q2s in the small blind should usually be folded because of position and the fact that it is junk. I guess I have been getting into that 1/2 price mentality in the SB.

My positionaly awareness from the blinds seems to need some work. Thanks, I will look at that.

well

limping from small blind is usually not good, with Q2 suited there really isnt a flop you can hit that you will like your hand, besides flopping the flush.

if you flop your Q you really dont know where you stand, if you flop 2 pair even though that might be the best hand it is very vulnerable. Plus you are OOP the entire hand so its going to be very hard to play this hand on flop and after. I wouldnt mind something like 56 suited but Q2 is just asking for trouble.

another problem would of been flopping the flush draw, again you are totally OOP so if you lead you have to worry about getting raised, if you check somone most likley will raise then again you have a hard decision, it just isnt worth it.
