What do you get when you cross...

What do get when you cross: 2 police officers, 2 politicians, a lawyer a retired army vet, a ChipFish, and a poker game in the backroom of a dingy bar?

A $1500 profit in 3 hours.

Tee Hee.
Just had to brag.

:D :D :D

Limits? Game?

GeoffM 01-21-05 08:39 AM

Oh, and a donation to the pWo :D :p :D .

stud variations.....
anywhere from 5-10-20-40-50 depending on the game.

eddo31 01-21-05 12:30 PM

very nice.

now the problem is, did you have to grease the cops and the politicians to let the game continue, even if they still hemorrage chips? something like the old you can shear a sheep a number of times, but you can only skin him once?

I kept getting up to go to the bathroom etc. and putting all of my money in my pocket....
When I returned, I would put $200 back on the table...
I don't think they realized how much money they had lost to me.

I did get invited back.... :)

Talking Poker 01-21-05 12:51 PM

Sweeeeeeet. And very nice with taking the money off the table. I can't believe they allowed that. Definitely new players.

I often play a little more casually and don't mind losing my first night at a new game that I think has a lot of potential for future earnings. The key is getting invited back. And when you crush them the first night, and it's obvious you are going to again and again, you might not get called back.

ChipFish 01-21-05 12:55 PM

Not even sure if I will go back....
ChipFish doesn't like to piss off the wrong people. ;)

ChipFish 01-21-05 12:56 PM

As per taking the money off the table....
There were no chips involved... straight bills.

And there was no way in hell I was leaving a stack of "MY" money on a table alone with 6 guys I don't know.

eddo31 01-21-05 01:33 PM

especially with a lawyer and a politician involved. they would have found some way to legitimize their graft from your stack.

im amazed that you were able to get away with that though. you would have thought that someone would have noticed that your stack was smaller every time you came back from the bathroom. maybe one o fth ecops would have used their tremendous powers of observation there.

GeoffM 01-21-05 02:13 PM

ChipFish, I remember one time on its posting about my little goldmine at the local Shoeless Joe's for GT. Took them for $100 on one 18 hole round. You had told me next time to limit the win, so they will play me again. My point is:

Why did you win so much? Certainely $500 would have been half-decent and then for sure you'd be able to go back, especially since there likely would have been another winner in the game.

*Hangs head in disgust at blatant Rounders quote*

eddo31 01-21-05 04:27 PM

i was trying to remember where that quote was from. i thought it was amarillo slim, but it might have been rounders quoting slim, so im all confused now.
