Thank you Talking Poker people

ok so for last like 3 months ive been hearing and hearing you all rave about Party Poker and how easy it is. So for the hell of it I deposited $50.00 left in my firepay account in there and entered bonus code. Well 1 1/2 hour later ive cleared the bonus and made extra $25.00 from the tables, which helps since im down like 8 bucks on pokerstars....thanks again. Another thing want to thank all the players on here that helped me get better....TP, chipfish, Lou.....im sure there are more but got to get back to making money now thanks.

Brian.....
Exactly what limit are you bankrolled for with $75??????
What limits are you "NOT" bankrolled for?????

One day you will learn....
Although I am starting to wonder.

Good luck.

BrianSwa 01-22-05 03:37 PM

I know

I know im not bankrolled for any limits on party poker.....dont care im having fun, If i take some bad swings and it wipes out my bankroll then oh well :) honestly cant play anything under .50/1.00 or ill go crazy.

I made an observation today. I played on Party, lost 2 sitngos, then went to ring tables and made $40 in 1 hour. Played a sitngo on UB after and won it. I think ring games on PP are easier but definately sitngos much easier on UB.

BrianSwa 01-22-05 07:51 PM

hey

played 2 sit and go's on party today got 3rd and 5th and broke kinda even on ring so guess it just depends how day is going for you.

It's good that you acknowledge that poker should just be considered fun to you. $75 is enough to have fun with, because you can play cheap cash games, some cheap SnGs and maybe even a cheap MTT. If you get lucky, maybe you can make a few bucks.

If you started spewing how you were going to make a living off of $75, then you'd be laughed at. Again.

I do find it funny, however, that you "can't play anything under $.50/$1. Weren't you content, 2 days ago, playing free SnGs with a $.05 first-place payout?

Some other "off-topic" advice: If you're going to keep a blog, then you should seriously consider using proper grammar and spelling. You're not going to get many readers if they have to struggle through the text.

That's awesome you mention it. For the past few days, I've been whoring the $25 NL tables to clear a bonus. Not only have I been crushing the tables (making about $50/hr), but I cleared my bonus.

Right now, I'm trying out a SnG for the first time in a week. 3 out at the start of the second round... how's that for juicy? Then again, this is all NLHE. I guess you're referring to Omaha Hi/Lo?

BrianSwa 01-22-05 08:03 PM

hey

no problem sir :)....its funny when its free money I dont care how much it is becuase hey its free, but if its my money I like to see it move up or down (hopefully up) im up to about $128 now and im dealing with the swings just got into game with $50.00 it dropped to about $20.00 and now its back to $40.00 and going up.

Are you not the same guy who was raving about those freeroll SNGs where you can win 2-5 cents for a top 3 finish just the other day???

ChipFish 01-22-05 11:33 PM

Oh no... that must have been someone else...

2Tone 01-23-05 02:40 AM

Why play anywhere else?

As evident by my jumping all over free money offers, I'm happy to play other sites on their dime (I'm currently playing a Micro NL game at Noble, having run my free $11 up to a whopping $14). But for day-in, day-out play Party has the widest game selection and softest games. And despite all my bitching, I've just cleared this month's reload bonus, and made a sweet profit along with it. I'm still not sure if Party is better than Empire, but I'm convinced that they are better than any of the competition, at least for now. Just don't pay the 20% rake on the $5 SNGs.

You must really love Poker to grind out a couple of hours of play for a profit of less than a dollar! WHEN YOU WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the game, but spending my time to earn 30 cents and hour is laughable in my opinion.

I can think of much better ways to spend one's time.

BrianSwa 01-23-05 11:52 AM

question

so is say $300 bankroll enough to play .50/1.00 to handle the swings. Im thinking of depositing that much the end of next month my wife is probolly going back to work and that means I wont have time to go to the casino's which in turn means online might be my only outlet for poker.

omahilo 01-23-05 01:02 PM

300 BBs is fine... most people suggest between 200-500 BB depending on your skill level, etc.

BrianSwa 01-23-05 01:55 PM

yep

well I suck, but think im good enough to show profit at .50/1.00 on party guess we shall see.

Aequitas58 01-23-05 03:07 PM

If you can't afford to lose, then don't play.

BrianSwa 01-23-05 03:11 PM

i can

I can afford to lose it just asking the question if its enough bankroll to support the swings at .50/1.00

fonzerelli_79 01-23-05 05:11 PM

yes it is :)
