I can't take it any more...
My biggest poker weakness is continuing to play (sub-optimally) when I am losing. I look around the table at the idiots who are beating me, and I keep thinking that given enough time, I'll get them back. And they keep killing me, over ad over and over.
If it's not cooler after cooler, it's this shit: Full Tilt Cash game, $2/$4 No Limit, 6 players Hand History by SB: $400 BB: $260.25 HERO (UTG): $769.30 MP: $247.20 CO: $786.80 Button: $378 SB posts Small Blind $2 BB posts Big Blind $4 Pre-flop: 2:d: 2:c: ($6) HERO raises to $14 MP folds CO folds Button folds SB calls $12 BB calls $10 Flop: A:h: 7:s: 2:s: ($42) SB checks BB checks HERO bets $28 SB folds BB calls $28 Turn: A:h: 7:s: 2:s: 5:c: ($98) BB checks HERO bets $76 BB calls $76 River: A:h: 7:s: 2:s: 5:c: 3:c: ($250) BB checks HERO bets $168 BB calls $142.2 and is all in BB shows 4:h: A:d: BB wins $531.50 with a straight Five high |
I say I can't take any more, yet I keep playing.
I would have laid even money that this is EXACTLY what this retard was holding: Full Tilt Cash game, $2/$4 No Limit, 6 players Hand History by SB: $898.50 HERO (BB): $412 UTG: $241 MP: $64 CO: $1007.40 Button: $167.30 SB posts Small Blind $2 HERO posts Big Blind $4 Pre-flop: 7:s: 7:c: ($6) UTG raises to $14 MP folds CO folds Button folds SB folds HERO calls $10 Flop: 5:c: 8:h: 7:d: ($30) HERO bets $20 UTG calls $20 Turn: 5:c: 8:h: 7:d: T:h: ($70) HERO bets $52 UTG calls $52 River: 5:c: 8:h: 7:d: T:h: 4:d: ($174) HERO checks UTG bets $155 and is all in HERO calls $155 UTG shows 6:d: 6:h: UTG wins $481 with a straight Eight high |
Yes, I knew I was beat on the turn (almost checked behind, but am playing like a tard now), but still... come on. For fuck's sake.
Full Tilt Cash game, $2/$4 No Limit, 5 players Hand History by SB: $265.50 BB: $590.10 UTG: $526.70 CO: $464 HERO (Button): $402 SB posts Small Blind $2 BB posts Big Blind $4 Pre-flop: A:s: Q:d: ($6) UTG folds CO folds HERO raises to $14 SB folds BB calls $10 Flop: 9:d: 5:s: 8:h: ($30) BB checks HERO bets $20 BB calls $20 Turn: 9:d: 5:s: 8:h: Q:c: ($70) BB checks HERO bets $44 BB raises to $108 HERO calls $64 River: 9:d: 5:s: 8:h: Q:c: Q:h: ($286) BB bets $60 HERO calls $60 BB shows J:h: T:h: BB wins $403 with a straight Queen high |
Moments later, I have my best result of the entire night after hitting a set - choppie choppie! Look at me not LOSE, after he hit his 6 outer (2 of which put 4 diamonds on the board) on the turn.
Brilliant play, sir. Full Tilt Cash game, $2/$4 No Limit, 5 players Hand History by SB: $460 HERO (BB): $406 UTG: $100 CO: $263.50 Button: $789.10 SB posts Small Blind $2 HERO posts Big Blind $4 Pre-flop: A:s: A:c: ($6) CO folds Button folds SB calls $2 HERO raises to $12 SB calls $8 Flop: 2:d: 5:d: 3:d: ($24) SB checks HERO bets $16 SB calls $16 Turn: 2:d: 5:d: 3:d: A:d: ($56) SB checks HERO checks River: 2:d: 5:d: 3:d: A:d: Q:d: ($56) SB checks HERO HERO checks SB shows 4:c: Q:c: SB wins $27 with a flush Ace high HERO wins $27 with a flush Ace high |
I don't know how many walks I had tonight (not many), but I do know that TWO of them came when I was holding this hand...
That's the type of bad luck you can't really quantify with all in graphs and Sklansky Bucks and such. Full Tilt Cash game, $1/$2 No Limit, 6 players Hand History by SB: $198 HERO (BB): $200 UTG: $209 MP: $86.10 CO: $453.80 Button: $200 SB posts Small Blind $1 HERO posts Big Blind $2 Pre-flop: A:h: A:d: ($3) UTG folds MP folds CO folds Button folds SB folds |

|
Its sad when you cant scare off Q4
add him to buddy list:twocents: |
Pretty ugly.
|
Absolutely. This is a fine example of me tilting.
|
You run bad sir, what an ugly series of events.
|
this reminds me of when I was trying to get comfortable at $1/2. For several months I had 10K+ hands of $0.5/1 running 8-10ptBB/100 and 250 hands at $1/2 running something like -100ptBB/100.
I know it is different for you as you are comfortable at $2/4, just what it reminded me of. You'll bounce back. |
Yep, and I know that too. These ridiculous downswings are part of the game (at least for us humans - maybe not for The Storm and people like him).
But they still sting. |
