What's your dream table?

So the guy that won the Poker After Dark series on Tilt got to choose 5 pros as his dream table for his appearance on PAD. His five were Hellmuth, Negreanu, Harman, Matusow and Scotty Nguyen.

So, who would your 5 be if you had to stick to well known poker pros? Who would your 5 be if you could pick anyone in the world?

I'll post my two lists of 5 later... still thinking about it.

Kurn 02-12-08 02:56 PM

if you had to stick to well known poker pros?

I guess that means I can't pick Jerry Yang . ;)

1. Doyle (I wouldn't be the oldest player at the table)
2. Benyamine (I wouldn't be the fattest player at the table)
3. Laak (I wouldn't be the weirdest player at the table)
4. Magriel (I wouldn't be the ugliest player at the table)
5. Katja (well, I just like her)

But if I needed a substitute for any of the above

Yang (I wouldn't be the worst player at the table)

Talking Poker 02-12-08 02:56 PM

Jamie Gold, Jerry Yang, Chris Moneym..... err, wait. Do you mean well known pros that I think are GOOD or that I'd wat to play against because I think they suck? :)

Assuming you mean a true dream team, I think I'd go with:

Ivey
Negreanu
Antonius
Brunson (Doyle, obv)
and my final choice would have been Chip Reece, for sure. If I can't pick him, I dunno - it's tough. I guess I'd go with Ted Forrest or maybe Jennifer Harman. OK, I'll say Harman.

Kurn 02-12-08 03:27 PM

Jamie Gold, Jerry Yang, Chris Moneym

You left out Varkonyi

Reel Deal 02-12-08 03:34 PM

I was thinking more along the lines of picking those that I would enjoy playing with... but I guess people can come up with their 5 for any reason they'd like.

Also, what about the 5 non-poker pros list? You know, like Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Einstein (can be dead people), Scarlett Johansson (for obv reasons), etc...

Talking Poker 02-12-08 03:39 PM

Didn't get back that far before stopping myself.

Wes 02-12-08 04:46 PM

Shannon Elizabeth, Liz Lieu, Erica Schoenberg, Shana Hiatt, Erin Ness

strip poker ftw

New Guy 02-12-08 06:29 PM

Well I did play with shannon elizabeth at the wsop errrrrrrr we'll for the one hand she played before she donked off all her chips,
My dream team would be

Ivey
Negreanu
doyle
hanson
chan

That would be a fun time!!!!!Probably short but fun!!!:donkey:donkey:donkey

Robbr25 02-12-08 06:41 PM

I am pretty much the same as New guy (in order)
Ivey
Negreanu
Doyle Brunson
Chan
Gus Hansen

(Stu Unger for Hansen, if he were alive)

Wes 02-12-08 06:55 PM

In all seriousness, if it were a 6 handed table, it would probably be a bunch of online people since I don't find live celebrities that interesting.

Johnny Lodden
Ozzy87
Antonius
LarsLuzak
Durrrr

Talking Poker 02-12-08 07:04 PM

Trade Shannon E for Evelyn Ng and sign me up. And actually, I think I'd swap out Liz Lieu for Isabelle Mercier. Jennicide, Clonie Gowen, Cindy Margolis, and Jen Tilly could be alternates.

Of that entire list, I've "met" all but Shana, and have played with Shannon, Isabelle, and Clonie (and Jennifer Harman too, but I left her off the list).

Edit: I feel like I'm missing someone, but can't quite place her. I know Kurn loves Katjia, but meh.

Oh right - Joanna Krupa plays poker now and she is SMOKING hot. Revised Strip Poker list:

Shana Hiatt
Erica Schoenberg
Erin Ness
Evelyn Ng
Joanna Krupa

Nice.

New Guy 02-12-08 07:40 PM

Talking Poker 02-12-08 09:04 PM

Who says he's not both?

No, seriously.

Wes 02-12-08 11:16 PM

Dexter is a mighty fine show, although there are some technicalities that I find inaccurate.

Kurn 02-13-08 12:41 PM

5.) Dutch Boyd (always been a big fan)

Let me get this straight. You hate Belichick because of camera-gate, but you're a big fan of a guy who stole the poker accounts of thousands of online players.

I guess internal consistancy isn't your strong suit. :talktothehand

Belichick may be an arrogant bastard, but Dutch Boyd is a lowlife scumbag thief who deserves being met in the parking lot by a dozen guys with baseball bats.

Talking Poker 02-13-08 01:05 PM

Come on... your strip poker people have to be poker players, at least! Not a bad list otherwise though. But Heidi Klum >>> Christie Brinkley.

Talking Poker 02-13-08 01:08 PM

It wasn't quite that black and white (or at all malicious, like you are trying to suggest)... but I don't blame you for feeling the way you do.
