Bonds better off shutting up

He just rambles on and on and on in his roid rage.

What a freak.

I can't really blame him for this. The media keeps poking at it. They really have to let it go. When he is tested, and I would hope he has the brains to be off them by now, what then will they say when he still socks 40 homers this year and hits .350?

Spidey44 02-23-05 10:01 AM

He won't...

GeoffM 02-23-05 11:25 AM

If he stays healthy, I don't see why he wouldn't club out another 40 this year. He's still going to be the best hitter in baseball, 'roids or no 'roids. And he'll still draw 200 walks this year too.

Spidey44 02-23-05 12:03 PM

He won't hit 40 this year...but 350 isn't out of the question. And I agree about the walks.

i have to agree with geoff here

When you take steriods it does not matter if you come of of them. As hard as he works out he will maintain most all of his strength. And everyone knows steroids does not help H&E coordination.

Meatheads who make this stupid point, including Bonds. "It doesnt help you hit a baseball, bodybuilders would just take up baseball". What a ridiculous arguement. The point is that baseball players have the skill to hit the ball, but the roids make you stronger. Even a little bit, can make a world of difference. If you have stronger muscles, including forearms, you will have quicker bat speed. That in turn will give you the extra split second to react to a pitch, and help you hit it harder and father.

Elementary really.

plain and simple, roids will do great things for a baseball players game (ie not some random idiot). it will make a servicable major leaguer into a good one, a good one into a great one, a great one into a hall of famer, and a hall of famer into the greatest hitter ever (bonds).

it will be interesting to see how bonds responds this year, but somehow i doubt he'll be anywhere near he was last year. if they dont do anything for your game, why take them in the first place?
