One Month...

Last night marked the one month anniversary of the beginning of me running "LOL bad." For those not in the know about the phrase I just coined, "LOL bad" is so bad, you can only laugh.

To commemorate the occasion, please enjoy the following HHs. Note that these are all against the same guy, and one match after another after another.

To be fair, I did win the last two (after these - which were all losses) when he somehow didn't hit his miracles.

1 - Didn't save the HH, but lost an AKs vs JJ flip (no surprise there).

2 - Like AA > 63. Sure it is:

4 - Like a flopped top 2 is gonna be good when he's got 2 outs. Did I learn nothing from #3? Funny thing is, I honestly thought he had a 2 (monsters in the closet), but knew he'd stack off drawing to 0-3 outs, so I pushed the turn anyway. Whatever.

6 - Like when I actually get it in badly with one overcard against a pair and spike my Ace, which I swear to you happens to me < 20% as often as my opponents manage to do it (selective memory, I'm sure), like spiking that Ace means shit and like I'm not still drawing to runners anyway. So glad to "use" that spiked Ace here and now, when it really means something:

I know this section of the forum is created for brags and beats, but I don't know why you would continue to post in here. The hands are rough....we've all experienced it. Sometimes it's nice to vent, but to actively go through your hh's to find them and post them and relive them can't be good for you.

Talking Poker 05-06-08 01:44 AM

I wasn't actively going through them. I was saving them off as they were happening.

That's much healthier.

Reel Deal 05-06-08 08:41 AM

It's time to turn to booze TP.

2Tone 05-06-08 12:47 PM

Strictly academic

Not that it would make any difference the way you are running, but …

In hand #3, are you checking the turn with the belief that he will shove with an inferior hand (in which case, you were right )? I’d have pot-sized bet that, since he seems willing to call with just about anything, but I don’t want to give him the chance to see a free river card.

sjay2k 05-06-08 01:05 PM

Stop playing headsup sngs. i think they are too shallow and reward monkey aggressive play, which i'm not really a fan of.

while we're posting beats, this is probably the most retarded hand i've seen in a while

ellwood2 posts the small blind of $5

Talking Poker 05-06-08 01:22 PM

Yes. He (this particular tard) is going to shove that turn probably 90% of the time if I check it (regardless of his cards).

Talking Poker 05-06-08 01:25 PM

A guy hitting a 4 outer after calling 3 bets preflop with complete trash is the most retarded hand you've seen in a while? Must be nice.

As for the HU SNGs, I'm still torn. I know that most people prefer cash, but I'm still not quite convinced. There are pros and cons to both. For me, I think the HU SNGs (not turbos - I'm with you on that) fit my style better.

sjay2k 05-06-08 01:56 PM

huh? preflop was limped. that's why it's such a retarded hand -- he's putting in 100bbs in a limped pot on a horrible board (and bets 4.5x pot on the flop).

standard 2 outters are too boring :)

cash ftw

Talking Poker 05-06-08 02:06 PM

Don't mind me. Only glanced and thought the flop action was preflop. :donkey

But don't lie - You love the 4.5x pot flop bet. Stadard.
