Unfortunately they are only showing 8 of the games on TV here (including pay TV), but I'll still be following all the action. Not sure there are too many soccer fans here, but anyway :)

My friend roy and i decided to use a random number generator to split the top 76 goal-scorers. Every time one of our players gets a goal, it's worth $100. We also randomly split the 16 teams, and each team goal is worth $50 (spreadsheet attached). I got Germany, Portugal, Holland, Ronaldo, Torres and Van Nistelrooy, all of whom I can cheer for. If anyone wants Roy's players and teams, I'll gladly accept more action (capped loss amount too if you want it).

Should be a fun tournament and I don't really know enough about it to make any informed predictions :)

Actually, I don't like Italy because they knocked Australia out of the 2006 World Cup with a BS penalty. So I'm very happy with Holland's 3-0 drubbing of the Italians this morning and I think I'll be cheering for the Dutch above all (Portugal second).

click on the "sports" tab and then one of the variety of channels until you find one with a good feed. I am partial to the arabic channels, they have been working for me and I like hearing the language.

And I am completely on board with Holland now. I would feel bad about the first goal except it was against the Italians.

melioris has been watching the sarahisnifty channel too much and claiming hes watching soccer imo.
