Back on the horse

I wanted to get right back out there and play some day tournaments, so OW and I went to Binion's for the 10 am $52 buy-in.

OW went out 5th for $147, and I took it down for $735.

Very different story than yesterday. I got JJ 3 times (including doubling up on the first hand of the tournament), AK twice, a few AJ's and an AQ. Busted the wife with TT.

On top o' the cash, I got a free T-shirt that says I won a NLHE tournament at Binion's. I also qualified for the July champions free-roll. I can't make it, but was allowed to transfer it to anyone at the FT. Of course, the entire FT were tourists. Nice overlay for the local winners.

A fun time over all. I didn't lose a showdown until we were at the final table. At one point, 3 handed, I was down to 2 and a half big blinds. Still waiting for KK or AA this trip.

The winning hand, Ace high. ;)

Gotta go meet up with the godmother for dinner.

Good hit

There's definitely an inherent cool factor to winning an event on poker's hallowed ground as well.

Annnnnd....the rest of the trip (and perhaps part of summer) is going to be a dry spell for Invig...and I'm not talking about poker... ;)

Good going to both you and OW!

Thank you all. Tomorrow, I storm O'Shea's (). We are going to see Penn and Teller tomorrow night, but I hope to get in 2 day tournaments as well.
