Playing way too much...

Is there any one else out ther that play poker way too much. I'm pretty much addicted to this game and can't stop. I am up quite a bit from playing and whoring around....but it does get tiring. Does anyone else ever feel like it's a grind?

Is there ways to get away from the game? Once I start playing...it just never ends. I think I'm not spending my time in the right areas of my life. I should be more focused in finishing my studies and what not....but I end up having long sessions day after day.

I'm know I got an addition to poker, but don't really consider a gambling problem....since I'm a consistent winning player. After a while, it just feels like it's wearing me down.

Are there ways to step away....and limit yourself to playing on recreation basis only and not every day for hours on end?

You have to ask yourselfone question. What is poker to you? Even if your answer is - it's a job, you need at least one entire day off per week (and probably two) and a limit on how many hours you work.

i have no psychology qualifications

But i am not so sure that you have to necessarily be a losing player to have a 'gambling' problem. We associate gambling problems with losing more money than you can afford. However, if you are winning - but it effects your home life, health, work life, etc i am wondering if that is not a problem as well.

I say this because i ask myself this from time to time.
