One Hand..

You ever notice how one hand makes or breaks your night usually. I had a moderate to wimpy night last night winning around twelve bucks in 50/NL. Not complaining mind you. It would have been closer to an ok night if I had not made two stupid calls. I would have made twice as much.

The difference between being a winning player and a break-even player usually comes down to winning those extra bets when you have the best hand, and saving those extra bets when you don't.

In NL, often this amounts to one bad call on the river per session. In limit it can boil down to one bad fold on the river per session.

I had 2 last night on Party. Got into NL $50, managed to work up to about $80, then had KK cracked by flopped low sets twice in about 10 minutes.
