If you flop a 7 you'll have 5 of a kind.....NO ONE can beat 5 of a kind......unless they were dealt higher pocket quads that is :D

Talking Poker 04-05-05 12:36 AM

I haven't played much Omaha, so maybe that's why, but I've never had this happen. Pretty cool, despite it's comple suckiness.

GeoffM 04-05-05 08:17 AM

You know what else sucks? Getting dealt a top ten hand and losing to some jackass playing trips.

Kurn 04-05-05 08:37 AM

1) FYI - you are more likely to be dealt Quads than AA23d (13 possible ways to be dealt quads, 12 possible ways for the other)

2) My favorite quote about Omaha. - "any game where being dealt 4 of a kind is bad, is too stupid to play." - anon.

3) Actually, in PLO8, with AAAA, you might be able to bluff preflop and win.

ChipFish 04-05-05 08:57 AM

Could you not bluff preflop with 2-9-j-k rainbow and win? ;) :p

GeoffM 04-05-05 09:40 AM

Chip, I don't know about 2-9-J-K, but what about 4-7-10-Q? :p :D :p

ChipFish 04-05-05 09:41 AM

You have a better chance at a low then Mine.

GeoffM 04-05-05 10:05 AM

And you have a better high. :D

ChipFish 04-05-05 10:06 AM

And here I thought you would have the better chance at getting a high ;) :p

GeoffM 04-05-05 10:25 AM

And here I thought I never hi-jacked threads :D .

junYUN 04-05-05 12:35 PM

who else got a little queesy at the amount of flirting they just did

Aequitas58 04-05-05 12:45 PM

You expect anything less from those who carry a "PWO" membership? It's one big circle-jerk.

ChipFish 04-06-05 12:12 AM

Hee hee hee
He said Circle-Jerk :p
