I heard mention of it on a WSOP telecast, but I've yet to hear anything else about it?

When will it be out and what should I expect from this one?

So, its not just a rumor. I dont know the specific release date though, but one thing that makes me really want to buy this is Danny N wrote a chapter in it :)

He's unbelievable. Sooo smart. People don't like him because he's a little quirky/nerdy or whatever. He talks too much some say.

But when he talks, he's right on. Best at making crucial reads in my opinion.

Looks good. Didn't Doyle only have a small part on NL in the first or something?

I would say that is right on the money about Daniwl, hard not to like him. I too look foreward to his insight in the new book. Do you ever read his web-site at all?

Yeah, cant wait til the new version goes up, Im sick of re-reading all the old stories hehe.

But you have to admit some of the stories in the first book are the best parts of it.

Will be interesting to see daniel's chapter (on triple draw, right?). I have only played that for fun on UB and it seem cool, but have no idea how to REALLY play it.

No way is this worth a dime. Come on dude...

As for this thread, I'm looking forward to getting my hands on SS2. SS was good, but I was a bit disapointed when I read it after everything I had heard. Don't get me wrong - great book, but I guess I was expecting some more.

Negreanu is the best.

If Super System is the first Poker Book you read, it won't be that good. I had read two others before, so when I read SS, it supplemented the other texts nicely.

Nah, the No limit chapter was the longest one in the book

yeah Negreanu wrote a chapter on triple draw lowball. I wish it was No limit, but i dont think Doyle could have paid him enough to give away a lot of his thought processes...especially in tournies. There is just too much money out there for Daniel to give away what amounts to free advice.

Doyle has even said that after SS came out and got popular, he got murdered for a while because the guys he was playing against knew what he was doing....he had to change his style

I think it was #4 or so for me. Don't get me wrong - it's a great book and everyone should read it. All I was aing is I was a little let down after all the hype surrounding it, and I didn't feel it added THAT much to my game...

all the hype comes from the fact that it was the first really comprehensive poker book; newer authors have learned from doyle's mistakes, and mistakes of other poker authors, so they wrote better books (which are probably your top 1-3)

i am really looking forward to this when it comes out. i think the people that are writing the chapters (chan, negreanu, etc) are the best players in the game, and i hope that they dont pull and punches when they give their advice.

hopefully it comes out sometime in the near future. i had heard that about doylesroom, but hopefully it is just a marketing ploy. you have to get something like 10k point sto get a copy on the site, so it could be a while before everyone there gets a copy.
