Funny home game hand
 

Let me preface this by saying, I have an uncanny ability of asking the deck for cards in my home game. If I get all-in pre-flop, I pretty much call the cards coming off the deck. If I'm ahead on the flop, I call the cards that can beat me, and they come. If I'm down, I call the cards I need, they come. It's a strange phenomenon that seems to happen frequently at my friendly game.

Last night, I'm short stacked and we're four handed. I'm dwindling to about 4.5 times the BB. I am in the SB with JJ and it's folded to me. I go all-in and get called by a stack about twice my size.

He has KQ.

I'm dealing the flop and a Jack spikes the first card. I'm like, "Sweet, you're looking for Ace 10." Next flop card, Ace. Final flop card, of course 10.

The table erupts. I'm the "villain" of the game and everyone is always rooting against me. Everyone is very happy, but for some reason I calmly say, "wait a minute, wait a minute, pair the board." Turn card comes 10 to fill me up and the table is just in awe.

Poker is rigged.

That's awesome. I find it interesting that we both play the role as "villian." Do you routinely win money at your home game? I do - and I suppose that's the reason.

Maybe you guys are just dicks. Or Arieh-wanna-bes.

(For the record, I like Arieh. I don't agree with his conduct all the time, but I like him).

I actully like the guy also and think he is great player also. I figure there has to be alot of emotion playing for that much money in those high of stakes. We all cant be Mr.cool as long as he isnt like Mike M. ( no idea how to spell his last name) you know the guy though.

I do not like him at all. His bad manors and temper are just stupid. Grow up kid! I do not have much bad to say about his play but that is not the whole game. I can see why TP likes him.. lol.
