Whats your worst beat ever?

Mine was on full tilt, Had AK, raised a good amount and the flop came AAK, guy in front of me pushes all in for around 40, and i had him covered (this was back in the day before i got banned from full tilt and acutally had the roll to have 50$ on the table) so i call and he has 33, running 3s for quads and i lose. what is your worst beat?

BrianSwa 06-25-05 09:12 PM

hmmm

dont know but I did lay this beat on this one guy once. Had 3-3 in EP and I called this guys crappy raise flop comes down AAK and I thought I was good so called his all in. Hit running threes and took all his money.

kkirk1329 06-25-05 09:25 PM

Worst Ever

Had TJo in position and called a $5 raise.
Flop is 789 rainbow. Bet and raise prior to my action. It was $10 to me. I raised to $20. I was re-raised to $40. I pushed all-in, about $100. Get one caller. He has 47o. Turn is 7, river is 4.

Is being a 99.6% favorite after the flop and losing good enough for you?

Your guy hit perfect-perfect, which is obviously as bad as it gets... Ouch.

junYUN 06-27-05 12:16 AM

lol...absolutely brutal!

BrianSwa 06-27-05 07:39 AM

What

what are you talking about I had great pot odds to call all the way to the river.

GeoffM 06-27-05 09:50 AM

Brian, who is your friend posting under your account? :p

BrianSwa 06-27-05 11:23 AM

very hard-headed

helmuths henchman 07-22-05 02:15 PM

how about flopping a straight flush and losing!!
i had 3-4 spades (big blind no raises) i check
flop 5-6-7 spades, i bet half the pot, guy goes all in i figure he has like a ten or jack high flush trying to protect so i call (woulda called anyways)
other guy has::8-9 spades
i dont know how it can get worse!!!

Talking Poker 07-22-05 02:54 PM

That is without a doubt a very tough beat, but it's technically not a "Bad Beat." At no point in the hand were you ever ahead, let alone WAY ahead.

Welcome to the board!

Zybomb 07-23-05 04:47 AM

why you would bet in that spot i dont know. Why the other guy would raise (especially all in) in that spot further confuses me

Still sucks

junYUN 07-23-05 04:44 PM

lol i was thinking the same thing
