Pokerstars $215 tourney...

Does anyone who posts on this forum play the big $215 or 350K guaranteed tourney on pokerstars? Or have you won a seat via a sat?

I've never played it. Anyone else?

I usually work weekends, so I never have even bothered...
New job coming up gives me weekends again....
I will be playing it then.

Won a FPP satellite and got a seat a while ago, nowhere even close to the money on Sunday though.

Good job....
I will probably try qualifying through the multi table tourneys when I do try.
How did you find the quality of player on average in the FPP tourney?
Think it would be an easier route?

I think the 3+ rebuy tourney was easy... since tons of people are going allin and rebuying 20 times so tons of chips to go around.

I would say it is a typical freeroll with a few less players, think there was like 850 players in this one and they were giving 9 seats per 500 FPP freeroll, I think it is less now but not sure without looking. Survival early is the absolute key and picking up a huge pot or three along the way should get you to the final 50, solid play from there is the best you can do, but early on 100 people are out in the first 8 hands or so, typical freeroll.

The problem with Stars is those type of tournys start very late and attract a massive amount of players. Thus any european has to be willing to stay up till 4am to get far in them :(

I've made it in the FFP route twice.
You have to make 9th out of about 200.

First time I sold it for $T and ended making about $400 in sit-n-gos.
Second time I entered and finished 500ish out of 2000. I feel I played fairly well but didnt get enough hands and was too far from the money.

i've played in it 4 times, only time making the money was an 81st place finish....good for about 850, so ive broken even on that tourney overall
