Back to Back Final Tables

junYUN 11-03-05 04:19 PM

nice... keep it up.

JDMcNugent7 11-03-05 04:35 PM

Geez, thats awesome - are u playing any differently or are things just suddenly working out ?

Reel Deal 11-03-05 05:38 PM

Thanks... not playing a whole lot differently, although I'm much better now at picking my spots (like the AK laydown that I probably wouldn't have made a month ago... see railbird section for more detail). I have been reading Harrington's book lately and it's helped my post flop play. So I'd say it's a combination of those things plus getting some good hands that held up.

PShabi 11-03-05 05:52 PM

Nice work RD.

Gordogg 11-03-05 06:03 PM

Way to go Reel, very nice third place finish. Going for three in a row tomorrow?

Aequitas58 11-03-05 06:55 PM

Where do you find the time to play MTTs?

Oh wait... you're NOT a first year associate. :)

PShabi 11-03-05 08:25 PM

Be patient.

You can't just "get out of school" and have a job where you're running shit.

Well, unless your Shabi. But not everyone's Shabi now are they?

Reel Deal 11-03-05 11:28 PM

Thanks Slim Shabi.

Reel Deal 11-03-05 11:28 PM

The shot at the hat trick might be too much to pass up! :D

Reel Deal 11-03-05 11:33 PM

You'll get there one day Lou... at this point I am pretty much my own boss and so long as I get to the work that needs to get done each day it doesn't really matter if I get it done 1st thing in the a.m. or from home at night. So, I can take 3 hour lunch breaks to play MTTs. Plus my BlackBerry keeps me in touch with everything while I'm out of the office. Gotta love technology!

lightfungus 11-04-05 02:09 AM

Now whos fault is that? Coulda seen that coming! You should quit and play 10+1 MTT, im sure youd make more than at that craptastic job you have now.

Aequitas58 11-04-05 05:59 PM

You're right. FUCK THAT JOB. LOL.

oketz7777 11-30-05 02:26 AM

very nice going well done, which site were u on?

Talking Poker 11-30-05 02:42 AM

You need to cut back on these useless one liner posts right now. Please don't make me ban you.

BDMK 11-30-05 02:54 AM

very nice, RD. this was on pokerroom, i presume (with the color layout)?

i only final table(d)/wi(o)n on buck tourneys on stars (since those are the only real money cash tourneys i play), so nothing much here to show. :) one 3rd and one 4th last two days, in-between 7 badly beaten endings (some of which i posted on the other subforum, just to vent)

lemme know if u play the 10 bux tourneys on stars too, so i can come rail u sometime...

BDMK 11-30-05 03:00 AM

i dont think he'll read ur admonition, TP...

he did this same exact thing on at least a dozen threads on only this subforum-gen. poker disc. (didnt even look at the others yet)...he's just furiously post pumping all over.

i think a ban is duly in order for anyone like this without any prior warning.

Reel Deal 11-30-05 10:04 AM

Hey, don't ban him... I like that he bumped this back to the front page. :D ;)

420Smurf 11-30-05 10:08 AM

wow

Hey that looks really good, seems there are some great players on here and I hope to learn much about the game. I do have a situation I find myself not playing 7,8 4,5 even 9,10 un-suited, however I seem to get in more trouble than not when they are suited I can't seem to lay off....Any offers of advice on how to go about suited run cards.

BrianSwa 11-30-05 10:42 AM

New thread

why dont you start new thread for this?

Talking Poker 11-30-05 01:35 PM

Agreed. Definitely off topic here.

Gordogg 11-30-05 01:42 PM

This made me laugh. :D

nflchad 11-30-05 03:07 PM

Hmmm two tourneys on PokerRoom, sounds oddly familiar to how I got my roll started a few months ago with a 2nd and 1st for around 1600 total. Way to go and your theory that we were separeted at birth seems more and more plausible.

Reel Deal 11-30-05 03:13 PM

You're from Cincy and both my parents are from Ohio... this is starting to get freaky. ;) :D
