HATE BLUFFERS... lol

I'm playing in play chips tourney right now ...and this guy keeps trying to bluff lol ...and i'm on to him and he still keeps at it ...it's just too funny for words...

Dealer: Rookette22, it's your turn. You have 15 seconds to act
Dealer: RIDINonFOFOs has high card King
Dealer: Rookette22 has a pair of Sevens
Dealer: Game #3196676148: Rookette22 wins pot (5250) with a pair of Sevens

that's just one of the times i got him lol weeeeeeee that was a mighty pot there lol

Nice! I know it feels great to sniff out a bluff and win a pot like that with merely a pair of sevens. But, there is an actually art to the bluff that not many people know. A lot of peope just think that by throwing a ton of chips out there is the way to do it. there is much much more to it, but see those type of bluffs all the time playing online. Bluffing in person and being successful atit in person is a different story.

Spidey44 11-29-05 09:44 PM

What do you expect? You're playing with play chips... Not trying to be rude, but it's play money so what does the guy care if you bust him on a bluff?

BrianSwa 11-29-05 09:47 PM

yep

I kinda wanted to say something along these lines but thought I would be nice.

Just be careful when you move to real money because play drasticly changes and calling with middle pairs like 77 might get you in trouble. I actully think playing for play money makes you a worse player then not playing at all because you pick up bad habbits that carry over.

rookette22 11-29-05 09:48 PM

yeah i understand what you're saying and i hate it that ppl don't play there as they would in real...messes up my game since i play the same way on both...

BrianSwa 11-29-05 09:52 PM

me

I dont have money online right now because of the fact that I have too many real life things going on right now and I still wont play with play money. The only time I play is with my GO POINTS on jetset because im trying to get to 30K to buy a pokerface. Play with the go points is really the same as real money because the players want the go points. Only warning I can give is be careful not to like I said take those bad habbits over to real money.

Im like those people when i play play money. I try to play the same but i cant. I build up soo many chips that i get reckless and say "Oh well i have anough chips." But my play from there never carries over to real money tables.

play money vs. real money

I totally agree that play money and real money is a drastic change in styles. I recently took up the game and play on poker stars, started with play chips and try to play the way I would with real money but after the switch to real it is vertually impossible to play the same on the play money tab. Just be carefull with your money.

well if you've read any of my posts i need my play chips so i can sell them for real money ... sooooo i have no choice but to play fake...and it's fun...no worries on losing real money and i can just practice on my game

Gordogg 11-29-05 10:10 PM

Play money is real money.

$15 divided by 1mil play chips=.000015 of a cent per chip. I can't believe so many people piss away their hard earned cash at the play money tables.

thrash1294 11-29-05 10:15 PM

How do you cash play money for real money?

rookette22 11-29-05 10:28 PM

hey...i never said i was stupid....never ever spend my money on play chips unless i get a good deal ofcourse

rookette22 11-29-05 10:34 PM

well short update the BLUFFER won the tourney...i came in 2nd place

he actually had a hand and i knew it but still went in ...hmm bad move on my part ...i wouldn't have taken that chance on real money though....

BDMK 11-29-05 11:59 PM

exactly.

i started with playmoney tourneys on stars and that helped me fund my buck real money tourneys and all the sats to big events too.

to this day, i havent deposited one red cent, and have no intention to. :D

p.s.: fyi, again, im a recreational player and play only buck real money tourneys and sats on stars. no cash games or big(ger) buyin real money tourneys for me (no need/interest); i do however, regularly observe in their entirety the highest buyin tourneys on stars which i always find very informative.

Heh, I stayed up past 5am this morning to final table a freeroll at Bugsy's....for $1.05. :D

They do have some nice cheap tournies though, so I might be able to parlay that.
