Raising strategies.

Preflop in $25-$100 NL games. I first decide whether to raise, call, or fold. If raising, I like to raise standard amounts, as opposed to raising depending on hand strength. I generally raise 4xBB+1BB per limper in front of me. I like this system as it has position build into it. Comments?

Also, I am new so if this is a recycled thread, could someone direct me to the original thread and delete this one? Thanks.

That's my system.

You must be a great poker player then!!!:D

I have this type of system advocated on 2+2 and some other forums, but I wanted to get some feedback from the folks here, as you all seem like generally good players and people that don't suck as human beings. For a while I used a system of weighted raises like the one advocated on FTR, but that just seems like it is giving away too much information.

That made me LOL. There certainly are a lot of sucky ones out there.
