Very Happy

After making my fourth deposit i pundered from my original $50 to $9.82

once again..... great poker player but horrible money manager...after listening to a lot of the bigger gys here that know theirshit and doing some research of my own at barnes and noble through the internet I've multiplied it a little over 10 and at $102.

I know in realty that is absolutely nothing because whats a $100 bankroll?

but inside its a little goal for me and something i can work with from here.

Nothing gold can stay...

Good Luck man... Hopefully I can dominate Royal Vegas again with my freeroll money.

jaeh00d 12-14-05 12:28 AM

you placed tonight in the royal vegas freeroll?

Talking Poker 12-14-05 12:28 AM

Keep in mind, these are also very short term results.

And I question the "Great poker player" thing too. Part of being a great poker player is money management. And if you keep losing consistently, I wouldn't be so sure about the great player thing either.

No one is as good as they think they are. Don't forget that.

jaeh00d 12-14-05 12:33 AM

its not losing consistently its getting trigger happy and playing over my limits. If that makes a great poker player then yes youre correct, and you are.

But skill wise where the money mangement isnt a factor yes I am

Hawt 12-14-05 12:37 AM

I had that same problem, I would dominate one limit, move up, lose it, build back up, rinse and repeat until I busted. I couldn't make myself stop, so good luck man, I hope it goes well.

Yeah I placed in a Royal Vegas freeroll, not one of the 12k player ones though, it was a 144 person freeroll for people who had deposited in the last week.

jaeh00d 12-14-05 12:41 AM

thats a start, personally i didnt like their software

Hawt 12-14-05 12:45 AM

I hate their software, and their blind structure for the freerolls is horrible. But their $2 & $5 sit n gos are the easiest games to beat that I have found so far.

If you haven't gotten the free $10 from them I really recommend doing it and investing it in a bunch of small buy in sit n gos. Just play a couple of free rolls/ play money games to get used to their software. It is a little more bearable for me at least if I put it in Mini-View and turn the chat option to "Chat Only" or "Silent" or else it is just way too much info.

lightfungus 12-14-05 12:51 AM

Woh, thats a modest statement. Don't you think you need a track record a little more impressive before you say something like that. Believe me, I have had my moments of "greatness," but that will only get you in trouble. On the same lines of what TP said, part of being great is knowing you aren't great.

jaeh00d 12-14-05 12:57 AM

wow i never knw that would bring such a hassle.

my track record whats yours? you dont know me any more than i know you.

i admitted yes I am not such a great because I have a hard time dealing wit money and waiting the proper time to move up in stakes.

thats all...no need to jump on me there

Talking Poker 12-14-05 01:15 AM

I don't think anyone was jumping on you. I've just seen you post about how great of a player you are a number of times now (at least three that I can recall), and I was simply pointing out..... maybe you're wrong.

Seriously, why do you think you're great?

I think the first step in improving is realizing you aren't as good as you think you are.

As for fungus' post, he never claimed to be great, so I don't see what his track record has to do with anything.

johnp158 12-14-05 01:55 AM

Lol.

jaeh00d 12-14-05 02:56 AM

lol im just gonna quit here and waive my white flag nice and high.

Talking Poker 12-14-05 03:00 AM

Not necessary at all.... Just giving you some things to think about and maybe improve your game.

jaeh00d 12-14-05 03:05 AM

no you know waht youre right when i put great maybe it was an overstatement.

i know i'm very good

when i stay in my limits i can be great

but like i said at times when i get dumb with the money i bust and go broke.

but of course i still have mch improvement for my game

i apologize for being a dick

ChipFish 12-14-05 03:12 AM

You're not being a dick....
You are being "put in your place".
Being Great "online" is nothing compared to the guy who wins his homegame once a week and thinks he's "great" ;)

Edit to add:
I'm not "great"......
Just "content" ;)

lightfungus 12-14-05 04:17 PM

I didn't. If anything, over the past couple of weeks I have come to terms with how much room I have for improvement. I am so far from great...

Reel Deal 12-15-05 10:00 AM

Hope your poker's better than your English or else you're in serious trouble. :p ;)

Hawt 12-15-05 10:49 AM

lol gg pwned ezpk wp nh

BlibbityBlabbity 12-15-05 10:56 AM

When he uses a spell checker he is GREAT though... :p

420Smurf 12-15-05 12:17 PM

Don't settle for being so called great or a (verry good ) poker player. You start thinking you are that dam good and pretty soon you have left yourself no room to improve. Everytime ya play a game you should get just a bit better. Gl in you quest for greatness.

jaeh00d 12-15-05 03:32 PM

lol no man i jus really do not concentrate nor pay ay sort of attention when i type

jaeh00d 12-15-05 03:34 PM

very well stated

Reel Deal 12-15-05 03:36 PM

Perhaps this is also why you have to keep depositing money into your poker account. :p

jaeh00d 12-16-05 03:15 AM

I know i type really bad, but you dont think i typed that last one on purpose horrible for you.

Yea I did bust on my first few deposits. Since the last post of me doubling it to 100, couple days later and I'm up to $340.
