Sorry, I thought this deserved it's own thread if it could keep someone from having to deal with a huge headache.

If you are having problems running the new Party Beta after the update, do not, I repeat, DO NOT, uninstall the software and try to reinstall totally.

I've read of people doing this routine procedure, hoping to troubleshoot some basic problems. What has happened is Party's software may have done some damage and deleted a majority (if not all) of the image files on their hard drives.

So, people are losing photos of junior's gradution, titties in Cancun, the weekly bridge club meeting, etc.

However, the image and icon files for other programs were deleted as well, rendering them useless. In every situation I've read about, the common variable was uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

What a fuck up.

I knew your post sounded messed up, so I did some research.:D

So party released their beta client to members for testing around the start of the new year. How could they test for over a month and still release a client that didn't even have functioning buttons? That's what I was asking myself.

It turns out, the fucking software they released yesterday isn't even the beta software the released for testing! That's right. Beta-testers have confirmed that the software we are using does not even resemble the beta software they tested!!!!!!!!!! So they ran tests on one software package, and then released a totally different one.

My god! Who gets fired?

No one. This is party afterall. I suspect a lot of people got a raise for doing what Party does best, fucking everything up.

If you did an advanced search for my username and the keyword "fuck," you'd probably find that over 75% of the time I've used the word on here it's been in a thread about Party.

well I'm just letting everyone know ... STILL ... don't play tournys at party.
I got in the $6 Rebuy to the $1 Million guarenteed. My table disappeared twice, and its not even allowing rebuys or add-ons, even tho it says it is most definitely a rebuy.
I think they fixed the buttons at least, but tournys are still screwed up.

Who in their right mind would wager even one cent at this place right now?

We know damn well I dont' qualify for that statement. Off to play some 5/10!!!!!

Anyone know if Party has this mess cleaned up yet? I haven't logged on to Party since Shab posted this warning and won't until I hear that everything has been fixed.

Everything is Fixed -and i actually really like the new Party now.
