Sorry to ruin your party TP

Don't start your rush to close the section just yet.

If this were online I'd have the HH. But during my-1200 night tonight, I ran into a lovely beat

I was in MP and there was one limp, I look down to see JJ and raise to 35 (standard). 2 players call as does the limper

Flop: 8d Jh 6h.

Limper, first to act, leads out for $80

With plenty of draws on the board I don't wanna get cute with the nuts and make a raise to $225

Both LP players fold, and the limper looks at his stack then at mine...after a few seconds he asks me how much I have left. $530. "All in" Naturally I call immediately.

The player shakes his head....over pair? I have 2, wanna run business? He asks me and flips over 8 6

Nah, nuts I tell him, and flip my JJ. He says wow, guess no business huh? I laugh.

Turn: 8

River: 8

The table explodes in commotion and Im just sitting there in disbelief staring at the flop.

The club has a Bad Beat Jackpot (currently at $9500) It is won if a player using both cards in his hand loses with Aces full of Kings or better. (50% to loser 25% to winner 25% to the rest of the table)

While I didn't have close to that, I told the floor manager, that if this didn't deserve the jackpot nothing did. (yea I didn't get it btw)

99.9% on the flop

You've got to be fuckin kidding me.

How's that for a beat

I'm sorry to hear that man, damn:(

booze, and lots of it. People have been using booze to get over moments like that for over 10,000 years. Don't try and re-invent the wheel, just pour yourself something strong and take solace in the fact that it should be a real long time before something like that happens to you again.

wow man, lol. that sounds really good.

That's a VERY bad beat, but still not as bad as the one I posted. He could have won with running 8s or running 6s. Mine required "Perfect-Perfect" making it twice as bad, as hard as that is to comprehend.

But yeah... ouch.

99.72% on the flop:D

I love that one... it's just so much fun.
