Something interesting I saw on Stars....

Earlier today, I was looking to find a $0.50/$1 limit table.

Well I found on, and I was railing it for a while.

While railing, I noticed something VERY interesting. All hands were CAPPED pre-flop, and then there would be a one-fold bet to every player in rotation.

So in otherwords, these guys were colluding 6 handed and loosing the rake, yet keeping their money but earning double FPPs.

Clever, maybe....... possibe that they will be banned YES! lol....

However, thought I'd share about that and see what your opinions were.....

let em do it.

If they arent good enough players to be able to earn the double FPPs by winning, im sure stars doesnt mind them basically selling their FPPS for rake $.

ALl hands capped preflop at a 6max = $24 in the pot. Stars takes 5% of that. Stars are getting $1.20 per hand they play. STars are giving each player 2 FPPs i think per handas its doubled.

As im guessing those guys were playing 120 hands an hour say, thats 240 FPPs per player, at $0.20 rake per player per hand, so 5 hand = $1 of rake.

So your per 5 hands your paying $1 in rake to stars, and getting 10 FPPS back. $10 per 100 FPPs......

You can buy into a $200 + $15 sit and go and get 300 FPPs.

All i say is -

GG fuckin idiots

Incorrect.

They are playing $0.50/$1 limit. Therefore they are capping pre-flop at $12, but only $0.50 of that is raked. Therefore they are each paying $0.08333333 per hand in rake, and bringing in 2 FPPs. They are likely clearing bonuses while doing this, and each FPP toward a bonus counts $0.20. Since doubled in this case, that would be $0.40 per hand they are all making. Multiplied by 6 would be $2.40 per hand. Stars is losing $1.90 per hand assuming these guys are clearing a bonus. Actually is pretty clever on their part if they don't get caught.

Also, I wish Stars would have more reloads. I realize I still have 3 stacked ones left, but it's beginning to look more and more like I'll be reaching SilverStar status after this month, and I think I'll actually end up keeping this status going, their store isn't too shabby and I'm sure they'll add other items. Plus, at 1,000 raked hands a month in Silver Star @ 1.5 FPP per raked hand, I'm sure this would be a fairly easy pace to keep up.

Im On silverstar, so it says, i never bothered to look into what i can do with it!!

You get 1.5X FPP for every FPP you earn. So in essence, you only need to play 1,000 FPP worthy hands a month to stay that way. So, when a bonus comes around, instead of it being a 5X, it becomes a 3.33X. Fabulous, and all just to play 1,000 raked hands a month...piece of cake.

Are you sure that's how it works? I thought for bonus clearing purposes, you still had to earn the right about of BASE FPPs. I thought the multipliers were for totals (store purposes) only.

Please note that I have not looked into this or researched it at all. I guess I just kind of assumed that's how it worked.

You still have to play 1,500 raked hands to get Silverstar since you need 1,500 VPP's and you can only earn 1 VPP per hand (except during this promotion). You do earn FPP"s at 1.5x but your Star status is determined by your VPP's not FPP's.
