Who shows hand first

who shows their hand frist at a showdown?

Penguinfan 10-21-04 01:14 PM

The original bettor, then the callers in order around the table.

The original bettor, unless of course, the bettor was raised... in which case the raiser should now show first.

On a related note

I don't care what the situation is -- slow rolling is evil.

lol outta nowhere.... i agree tho, slowrolling is as tasteless as you can get at the poker table

The original bettor will showdown first, then proceed clockwise around the table. I have also seen it where there is no action on the river and showdown will start with the SB and continue clockwise.

If I have the nuts in a live game I will do the person a favor sometimes and just show first, and let him muck. Sometimes I feel bad about taking a bunch of cash from him (especially if it is a good friend) and don't want to know that I gave him a bad beat or that he doesn't know how to play :D.

original bettor/raiser shows, if there was no action on the river then 1st position shows first, goes in order of position.
