WSOP, Who's Going?
 

Whos going? When? What events, if any, are you planning to play? Did you qualify online? Plan on playing satty's when you get there, or just buying in directly?

I am not playing any events, but arrive Friday 7/28, leave Sunday 7/30.

Tentative plan:

Friday day - railbird WSOP, attend convention/lifestyle show
Friday night - Poker at the Palms, Party at Rain

Saturday day - Play Ceasars noon tourney
Saturday night - WSOP rail, Party at Pure

Sunday day -- Rehab at Hard Rock Pool (which I've never been to, but is supposed to be insane!)

Would enjoy meeting up with whoever will be around.

I will be there from July 27th - Aug 5th (perhaps longer). Whether or not I will be playing in an event depends on the next few weeks of sattys...regardless I'm going, as Im going out there with a friend of mine who won a seat throught a Stars double shootout satty

I don't have any schedule as of yet -- but 2Tone, I may have to follow your party schedule if it's the hot spots:thumbsup:

Playing in event #17 1000 nl . I am buying in. Hopefull I do something in it and I will stay for other events.Will be back up for the ME at least to railbird a friend and hopefully to play in it.Good luck to all!!

IM like Zy, i can afford to go, and play maybe a prelim there, or a satty live to the big game. Im trying to ass off this month to qualify.

Ill be there for 7 days, then maybe going on a US tour

22 in a couple months.

I actually still haven't booked my flights yet.... trying to decide if I should use FF Miles and take shitty flights, or if I should pony up $450ish and take half decent ones.

Either way, I'm planning on getting there just before the Main Event - probably on the 26th sometime. I'll be staying until the 7th or 8th, mostly likely (and if I need to change a flight to stay later than that, woohooo - go me!).

Can't wait to meet up with you guys who will be there. And let it be known that my starting day isn't until Sunday, the 30th, meaning I have a few completely open days to do whatever - poker, party, WHATEVER! My schedule is wide open. :thumbsup:

Can we kinda-sorta fix when a 'TPF Meet' would work out best? Right now it's not looking good for me getting there personally, but I would like to have a time frame in mind should the opportunity arise.

It sounds like sometimes during the opening weekend of the Main Event..... probably Thursday the 28th (day before the Main Event) or sometime that weekend. I'm not staying out late on Saturday, so if getting loaded is part of the plan, Friday night would be much better for me.

Friday the 28th is sounding promising for a forum meetup. Depending on what else is going on, I'd recommend Palms. Though off-strip, it is close to the Rio, usually full of eye candy, and has a good sized poker room.

This sounds good to me too. We could also meet up at the Rio, where Day 1a of the Main Event will be underway. Where we go from there can be determined on the spot...

I don't know if this is weird or taboo on the intranet, but does everyone who is going the weekend of the 29th have accomodations already as I am looking into getting a room for that weekend and thought I would ask...

I wouldn't mind a hat if I end up with a seat.
