Currently at a final table!

OK so it's only a $10 game at Absolute and there were only 96 players, but I'm at the final table dammit. Hurry over, I don't think I will be there long :(

EDIT= Busted out 8th, and with God as my witness it was with AA. If I was never dealt AA in that tournament I think I would have done better. Got em cracked once earlier in the tourney against Q3 and at the final table with K-5, both time they were river jobs (aren't they always).

I really like the MTT there, it's not as much of a crapshoot as those 2000 player jobs at the other places. Of course the payout isn't as good, but defnatly more fun than wading through the throngs of fish.

8/96 - That's a nice place. How do payouts go over at UB? I'm guessing you got around $70?

It was Absolute Poker and I got like 60 bucks, like I said it was not a big score, but alot more fun that those mega crapshoots and took under 2 hours. Anyone who has only played in the mega multi games at Stars and Party really should try one of these games that has around 100 players or so, it's a whole different game. Payouts are smaller yes, but still a better game all around, except for those stupid Aces.

Nice.

Congrats as well on 500 posts. Taking the money or playing heads up?

I personally like the 1000+ craphshoots. Half of the time that you do make the money, you move up like a freakin rocket in the money. It's really a matter of your hands holding up if you get to the money and are shooting for the final table.

The 1000+ enrolled MTT's are indeed crapshoots, sometimes. But players like GambleAB can make the money consistently, and make final table a lot also. So it isn't as much luck as we would think...Glad to hear other people use AB. I currently use AB only for the massive amounts of freerolls.

You don't give yourself enough credit.
You finished 7th.

Congrats + 1 !!! :D

Just wondering, how are you playing those hands to get them cracked? Are you slow playing it to the river?? I don't see how anyone has any business in with that hand ><

Penguinfan 12-12-04 08:30 AM

Got the AA's cracked both times all in preflop, first time was a short stack went in on my right and I just had to call and the second time was as the BB at the final table and I am sure I got called just because I was the short stack.

Windbreaker 12-12-04 09:19 AM

That makes much more sense...cause I couldn't how people can call you with those hands if you play those strong

Forgot to reply to this one. I asked TP to send it too me on Party Poker. I intend to play him, but right now I am addicted to those step tournaments. Though if I win the 9K I will cut him in on the deal :D

I PM'd him late last night, probably hear from him sometime today I would think.
