Stars 150 seat Guarantee, plus interesting news...

So, how many of you are going to go for this??? Come on TP people - I have faith in you!

BTW, note the P.S.

eejit101 07-10-06 03:15 PM

im satteliting my ass off tomorrow/thursday. Gotta move some damn money around first.

Any volunteers if its proving hard? Any1 helps and i qualify, 5% of any WSOP winnings to ya;)

lightfungus 07-10-06 03:22 PM

Unfortunately I have work to think about, but what happens if you win a seat and don't want to go? Can you ask for T$?

edit: Apparently my understanding of the english language is pathetic.

Reel Deal 07-10-06 03:24 PM

Actually I think they'd be W$.

GeoffM 07-10-06 03:47 PM

How much you need? I got some idle money at Stars right now, and can be paid at just about any poker site on the net.

Talking Poker 07-10-06 04:23 PM

No.... you have to play the first seat you win.

eejit101 07-10-06 05:43 PM

looking like a straight $200 swap. Ill buy in straight on sunday if i dont satty it.

I can trade for paradise, or any other site if u give me a day to ask a guy who knows a guy

Zybomb 07-10-06 09:28 PM

I am playing in this tournament, either by direct buy in or satty

eejit101 07-10-06 11:37 PM

me too, if goeffM gets back online

Talking Poker 07-10-06 11:44 PM

For 5% of your WSOP earnings (if any), I can transfer you the money... just transfer to me somewhere else first. Pretty much any site BUT Paradise works for me. If you want to do it there, go with Geoff. You can trust him.

Zybomb 07-10-06 11:50 PM

If the field gets to the point where there isnt much of an overlay, with only a 350 buy in and 11k needed for a seat , it awards basically 1 in every 32 a seat

Would people still go with this, or go with better options (double shootout 615 tourny etc)

Talking Poker 07-10-06 11:55 PM

I've won two big satellites that were tougher than that. :)

I still like it, but keep an eye on the Full Tilt 100 seat guarantee too (same day)... they may have a bigger overlay.

As it stands right now, let's see, $535 entry fee and < 1400 entrants. That's $700k in entries with a $1.2 million prize pool. I don't know if it will overlay or not - probably a lot of last minute direct buy ins.

Windbreaker 07-11-06 01:28 AM

If it gets to the point where there's that many players in the tourney for stars to not get much of an overlay, I would suspect that, that would mean a lot of fishes would be in the field. (Proportionally larger than a normal tourney of this nature).

Also because a lot of players have qualified on other sites already, like TP, it also eliminates a lot of the better players from being able to play in this.

By no means do I think it's going to be a walk in the park....but I can see much worse events to play in.

Also I never liked the Double Shootouts, because it usually means your second table will be juiced with 3 or 4 really good SNG players.

johnp158 07-11-06 05:08 AM

As soon as 1 more person busts out of this $7 rebuy I'm in. 1st time's a charm!

I don't play many of these, so somehow when it started at midnight I had registered, forgetting it would take 4 hours to take it down. Who needs sleep?

Done and done. $28.50 investment -----> $10 million, right?

Talking Poker 07-11-06 12:14 PM

Good job. GL in the big satty.

PShabi 07-11-06 12:58 PM

I may be hitting up the $7.50+rebuy Turbo satty here in an hour.

johnp158 07-11-06 01:11 PM

Be prepared for that one to get very frustrating at the end. If it's anything like the 11R turbo sat to the 215, anyway. People stall like no other and blinds get HUGE.

GL.

Kurn 07-11-06 04:55 PM

No sh*t. Sometimes the blinds go up twice in an orbit.

murkosk 07-13-06 04:05 PM

Talking Poker 07-14-06 04:50 PM

I'm pretty sure it's:
$350+20

Edit: Oh, I see - you meant for the freeroll to get into the satellite to get into the Main Event.

eejit is already in the satellite, so he doesn't care, and I'm already in the Main Event, so I really don't care. But GL to you.

eejit101 07-14-06 07:52 PM
