Pokerstars $2.5M Freeroll

Everyone should log in and check their tournament tickets (Requests -> tournament tickets). I have one that was issued July 14th for the 2.5 Million Moneymaker Round 1.

No indication on when that is yet but keep checking the Events tab.

HEwong 07-23-06 08:57 AM

i got one.

kkirk1329 07-23-06 10:07 AM

same

omahilo 07-23-06 12:28 PM

I got one as well...

any idea when this starts?

Tony Cheval 07-23-06 02:07 PM

Same here, and I rarely play there.

Talking Poker 07-23-06 02:42 PM

Seems pretty clear to me that everyone got one.

PShabi 07-23-06 02:45 PM

Luck be a lady tonight!!!!

Lou,

What's the "over/under" that we all got a ticket????

Talking Poker 07-23-06 02:47 PM

LOL - you love "over/unders" on True/False statements. :D

Dodoubled 07-23-06 07:32 PM

I got one, too, which clearly means this whole thing is a sham.

hc422709 07-24-06 02:06 AM

Ok, I'm adding my name on this list too.

drewjax 07-24-06 08:28 AM

I got one too, and I havent played a hand there in months.

You'll probably only have to beat like 2 or 3 people for a big cash in this!

ChipFish 07-24-06 12:14 PM

Round 1 Starts today.

10 FPP to enter (not including your free ticket)
Max 10k entrys. Top 50 move to Round 2.

Dodoubled 07-24-06 01:02 PM

I'm in this mofo. Hmmm ... with 10000 max entries and a whopping 50 spots, I'd put my chances at ... fan-friggin'-tastic.

Robbie Robb 07-24-06 01:05 PM

Well, I'm in the inaugural game. Starts at 2:00pm today! Max 10K players. This should be a HUGE All-in fest...

kmb13592 07-24-06 01:10 PM

This thing got me excited, but its satellites for a live tournament which I'm not old enough to play in. Screw you $2.5 Million Moneymaker Millionaire.

Robbie Robb 07-24-06 01:10 PM

Okay, just reading through the levels. If you make it to Level 2, the weekly, 320 people move on to the Round 3 - the Monthly. THIS is where stuff gets hella cool. The top 5 finishers win a trip down to Atlantis to play in the live final event. The next 4 finishers win an entry into the PCA. Then the next 111 places also pay out AT LEAST $100. That's pretty freakin' cool.

No word yet on the prize breakdown for the final event though.

EDIT: NM - The website has the details on the final event prize breakdown

Talking Poker 07-24-06 01:16 PM

Neat promo. If I'm reading this right though, you HAVE to win your way up, starting at Round 1. You can't just buy in to Round 2 or 3 for more points.

All in fest is right.

Tony Cheval 07-24-06 01:18 PM

I'm registered, let's kick it.

Nikita 07-24-06 01:22 PM

Alright, I'm in this one too. Hope to see the rest of you in the top 50. :)

hc422709 07-24-06 02:14 PM

Lets see... 50/10000 will advance so my chances are

0.5% and once I make it to Round 2 320/10000 = 3.2%

and then after that I have to place 120/5000 = 2.4%

So chance of placing in the money is 0.000384% if i only use only my free tournament ticket and if my calculations are correct, which they almost never are.:o

BlibbityBlabbity 07-24-06 02:20 PM

Well, strictly by the numbers of entrants this might be right, but that assumes everyone plays at the same skill level and everyone gets an even percentage of good/bad hands, etc, etc

Tony Cheval 07-24-06 02:23 PM

Down to 'only' 6498 players (yeah it filled at 10000), I'm currently sitting at 3135, which is comfortably above the average but well below top 50. :D

Tony Cheval 07-24-06 02:37 PM

And down to 1700, 99 doesn't hold up to a Q84 flop, naturally someone called me with QJo  At least I'm making a bit of money at .50/1 stud while this is going on!

Dodoubled 07-24-06 02:55 PM

I'm out. Had about 1800 in chips (small stack at my table), pushed preflop with QQ, got called by a KK and some other jabroni. Flop comes out 67Q, so I'm lovin' it. Of course, the turn is a K, and well, we all know how this story ends ...
