Luck of the Hat
 

A while ago, I think it was January, I managed a 3rd place finish in the TP forum's headsup challenge. It earned me some cool stuff like a TP mousepad, three custom TP ASM poker chips, a TP pen, and most importantly - a custom embroidered TP hat with badblood44 onthe back.

I brought that hat to Tunica in January with my very meager $850 bankroll, but forgot to wear it the first day. I promptly lost $500 playing horrible poker at the Grand Casino.

Not to be deterred, I wore the hat for Day 2 and managed by best day of poker ever by winning over $1100, $700+ in a $1/$2 cash game and $400+ in a WSOP circuit event satellite (chopped and sold the lammer).

I brought the hat with me to Vegas last week. I crushed. It was either the hat or finally meeting Mark during his mega-run at the $1k event.

Some stats:

Day 1, MGM, $1/$2 NL +$715
Day 2, Caesars Palace, $1/$2 NL +$952
Day 3, MGM, $1/$2 NL +$972
Day 4, MGM, $1/$2 and some $2/$5NL - $143

I attribute day 4 to being tired and not the hat running out of luck.

So, here's to TP and his WSOP cash/final table, and my TP.com hat. It rocks. :)
