PartyPoker Steps

So far so good...
Beat level 1, in first attempt
Beat level 2 in first attempt...

I can't believe that people don't understand that they should "NOT" be trying to win this...

Some of my observances from Level 2
I watched a chipleader with 8 left... go out in 8th. (no prize).
I then watched a big stack go out in 7th, ($30) (Weeeeeee!)
Come to think of it, I did alot of 'watching' ;)

Hopefully level 3 is just as easy. :)

Edit to add: The original reason was to find out if anyone else likes these things?
As far as I can tell basically it's a pretty cheap way to get into a $1000 20 man tourney...
Might be worth an investment.... We'll see how level 3 and 4 are first though.

Keep us posted.

Isn't it amazing how people jsut don't get the difference between playing to win and playing not to lose? Remind me and I'll tell you a story about a WSOP satellite I was it. Top 2 win, and we're down to 3 and one guy doesn't have enough to cover the BB.... You know the other jackass was raising me and even pushing in. Moron.

Ya, you see that happen all the time in tournaments as well. Like in the UB freerolls where the top 50 or 25 get to place into the Tourney Final, instead of folding and letting the short stacks get killed when they're close to get to the final, people end up giving their stack away and any hopes for a ticket to the final.

On the bright side today, Level 3 is just as easy as 1 and 2.

On to level 4. :)

jdiana86 12-19-04 07:46 PM

You cand find them in the SnG multi-table section I believe.

TajaUk 12-19-04 07:49 PM

I bet that was so fustrating, i hate it when that happens. Do people just not understand the game or what!?

BrianSwa 12-19-04 07:49 PM

soooooooo

so how do they work do you have to win step one to make it to step 2... is the buy in free for step 2 if you do? how much does step one cost?

ChipFish 12-19-04 11:36 PM

Passed level 4 :D On to Level 5 .... I'll post when I decide to play it.

Some guy is ChipLeader with 10 players left and 4 small stacks....
He pushes with A-J and is called by A-K.... By medium to large stack.
He goes out 9th, and has to replay level 4....
Some people just don't get it.

Level 5 is no longer a satellite, but a very well paying tourney.

1st pays $9000
2nd pays $5000
3rd pays $3600
4th pays $2400

I sense a 5th place finish in my future.

BlibbityBlabbity 12-20-04 12:22 AM

And I was going to offer to buy a piece of your action for step 5 until you said that.... :D

BrianSwa 12-20-04 12:28 AM
