$5 HORSE Tourney Reminder...

Just a reminder to everyone that our final Event is Thursday night (tonight, by the time most of you read this) at 9:30 PM. We're going to be playing HORSE and the buy in is just $5+.50. Maybe we can even get a low stakes tourney cash game going as people get knocked out of the tourney.

So whether you're in the league or not, come on out and play - everyone is welcome. Let's try to get a really big turnout, so there are lots of points up for grabs.

It LOOKS like the Top 4 spots are secure (their order most definitely is not), but pretty much anyone with ANY points right now could still get into the TOC with a win, if we have enough players. Here are the current standings:

I'm keeping 1st place fools.

Kurn 12-07-06 09:00 AM

My position is quite tenuous, so I'll HORSE around tonight.

eejit101 12-07-06 09:39 AM

im counting on my far under-superior knowledge of HORSE to win tonight, so basically luck.

I'm in. But be warned. I played in a $1.10 HORSE tourney last night on stars, and cashed for $2.21! Thats right....thats like .37/hr.

Thats not an amount they like to give out.

I'd be in for any post-tourney cash games people will be playing in. Keep me posted. I usually get home around 10:45ish.

There is currently a 60% chance that I won't be late for the tourney (because of clouds, oddly enough):

You never know though... They usually don't decide until the last minute, which will be really annoying if they keep bumping it back 10-15 minutes over and over all night.

Tony Cheval 12-07-06 02:30 PM

I'm in.

Talking Poker 12-07-06 09:27 PM

5 minutes left (plus late registration). We have 16 players so far - let's try to get 20!

I'm gonna be late. I expect you all to fold to my BB out of respect.

How the fuck can that new guy boatman accuse me of softplaying 2 pair, which i didnt even see, against bdawg who i knew had the low with 4 of 5 lows showing, so that the 3 TP guys can cash.

idiot.

who won:confused:

to be honest i did think the same as boatman at the time, in fact i might report your play to PStars it did look suspect.

PShabi 12-07-06 11:54 PM

pwned?

eejit101 12-07-06 11:54 PM

feel free, they will realise i dont know what im doing half the time in that game, and there was no point me betting on the first 6 streets with bottom pair J high, and i rivered 2 pair, woohoo, i bet im called we split. why bet?

Also i wanted boat to win, he wins i win the league.

but yeah, report me if you wish, itll be i reckon a waste of an email:thumbsup:

In troubled times like these, I like to turn to the wisdom of Napoleon:

"Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

I don't remember the hand, but jamming a rivered 2 pair into a couple of lows is not usually a good idea in stud8 unless you have a good enough count on the dead cards to really believe nobody rivered trips or better.

Highs that are not the nuts or close to it have to play passively on the river. On the other hand, if you obviously have the only low and have rivered 2 pair or better, you can jam 'til the cows come home.

Not to mention at the time Eejit was playing tighter than the Rock of Gibraltar waiting for Mayhem to crash out. I'm no fan of his, but...I just don't see it.

Which makes it doubly funny how Boobie ended up taking the whole thing. :D

eejit101 12-08-06 06:50 PM

yup, i was tight as a donk, called Bdawgs UTG 2bet with 44 5. then went similar to K J 2 5, and i missed the 5. He had no pairs showing, 3 to a flush and straight, why the frig am i betting here.
