every time i see something about this disaster it just shocks me. the fact that the death toll is estimated to be over 50k at this point is unbelieveable.
there is a video of the tsunami hitting the shore on one of the resort island, and it is just devastating. it is enormous as it rolls in towards the shore, and it just continues on, not stopping for anything.
this is just such a humbling event. it really puts in perspective how much we are just in the hands of nature, and that we wish that we could control more, but that in reality we have very little say in the world around us.
