What about the 600+ players will will be getting more than they would have in 2005? Instead of basically breaking even for cashing, people now double their money.

I think it is MUCH better this way. Bubble play will certainly be a lot more profitable for the skilled players... And besides, if you are winning 8+ million for first, is that REALLY any different than winning $10 million? No way... spread that extra $2 million out across the prize pool.
