I'll first address this comment and then make my way through the rest of the assertions. It was posted in the area that was appropriate for such an offer. Also, note that i didnt spam it or ask anyone to participate. I just posted that I was offering it. As far as this goes I thought there would be a stronger response. At other forums I have posted this on I have had a huge response(I signed up 30 people in the first week they were offered). Most other pros at my level are charging $100 to $200 an hour for coaching. $50 is very cheap and the $15/hr for group lessons I offered is the cheapest thing you'll find anywhere. I take lessons myself from time to time to tune up my game that I pay much more than this for. For anyone here who's a skeptic as to whether it's worth the $15 or not take one and if you feel you got nothing out of it I'll refund your $ no questions asked.

I certainly have made an effort to offer advice when people post tourney hands although I dont see many of them posted. Most of what I see posted here are cash hands and the advice as far as cash hands is definitly good, although I dont feel qualified to offer cash advice(unless it's stud or advice on extreme multitabling with no reads and no poker tracker info since that is what I do). I made an effort early on to post a few of the mtt hands that I have played that are out of the ordinary and have had to deal with people posting the "by the book" response and telling me what an idiot I am for playing the hands the way I did. Frankly, I felt that based on the few responses I have received from the hands I posted that people here werent receptive to non-standard ideas anyway. I felt my advice wasnt respected anyway and if people dont respect your advice then it seems to me they arent going to listen to it anyway. Maybe I get discouraged easily but when I have the choice to spend time here posting where all I get is ridicule for strategy posts or spend my time posting on other forums where my PM box is full of requests for ideas and HH's for me to look over and players asking for help on thier game I choose to spend more time on other forums where I feel like people want my advice. I'm not saying I receive ridicule in general here but simply that I felt people here seem more interested in asserting why they are right and how the "by the book" approach to tournament poker should be followed than in taking in varying viewpoints and trying them out in thier game.(Please note: I'm speaking specifically about tournament ideas and this certainly doesnt apply to everyone here.)

I came to this site because I was asked to join by a friend on another forum. When I took a look I saw that the site seemed to have active discussion on hands. I decided that might be something I could get involved in and that was my original intention at this forum. Also, I saw that there was a forum for staking etc. and that interested me. I honestly believe when done right playing backed is beneficial for both the player raising money and backers. So I do think posting well thought out offers for shares is a positive contribution to the site. Secondly if you take a look on the front page of the forum you will see I am 3rd on the list in terms of referring new players to this site. Helping to grow the membership here is certainly a positive contribution to the site.

As far as this question you posed I gave it a couple trys by posting my own tournament hands. I quickly felt that if I was going to offer a non-standard approach that goes against what many of the books say I would have to have an alternate way of getting people here to listen to what I have to say. I asked myself "how do you change people's minds if they won't listen to you???". I've asked myself this questions many times in life and there has always been one answer to it......You show them results because people cant argue with results. So that is what I decided to do and that is why you see me now constantly posting my results and when possible posting during the tournament so that you all can rail if you would like to. So, unless TP has a problem with it that's what I intend to continue doing. The intention in doing so being to share my excitement with you all and also so that you see my results consistently. At some point I'll enter back into the fray of discussing tournament hands.

With all that said, my intention is to make a positive impact here and I do like most of the people here at talkingpoker. If I can ever specifically be of help to anyone let me know.
