I definitely loosen my starting requirements. I also play much more aggressively, pretty much always raising with top pair or middle pair with a high kicker. Pot odds are not as good for chasing draws, so such tactics as raising to get a free card are often not good plays in a heads up match. If you know that your opponent is also very aggressive heads up, raising on the flop can be a good way to take control of the hand. Many players will bet the minimum after the flop regardless of what hits, so raising is a good way to throw him off balance, as well as gain information about his hand.
