You know how there is always apathy regarding the elections, voter turnout is only at like 60% on a presidential election. I can understand that sentiment in Alaska.
The State of Alaska has voted for a Republican President in all but one of the elections since obtaining statehood (of all the Dems we could vote for, it was LBJ). We had the trifecta going for a long time. Both Senators and the Rep from Alaska are Republican and until Frank Murkowski stepped down to run for Governor (and appointed his daughter as Senator) all three were extremely senior. For a time we had almost as much power in congress as most of the "large" states.
Republican Governor, Republican Senators & Representative, and we always vote for a republican president.
I haven't decided how I'm going to vote, but I have a feeling that it won't matter anyway (other than local elections).
