lobo54: calls $154.20
Oh. Crap. You must realize you are waaaaaaaay behind here.
No, I dont realize Im way behind...in fact Im probably percentage wise ahead....and I was. Im a favorite over any pair or 2 pair. Im a slight dog to a set, and Im 2 to 1 dog to a straight. I also think without a straight or a set, this reraise will get a player to fold 75% or more of the time
Theres no doubt I was overly aggressive with this hand. I was drawing to the low end of a straight-- but I did have two cards to it. Also keep in mind I had an open end straight flush draw. If that were my only draw things may be different. Again IMO if you fold to a less than pot size bet with an open end straight flush you are playing entirely too tight.
When the flush hits Im not praying he doesnt have a higher flush. Theres no way any sane human being would risk that much on a flush draw...even with the 50 he had in the pot, he was still getting horrible odds to call on a flush draw.
I dont flat call his bet, because that is the best way to allow my flush to hit and then worry about a higher one , (and a straight too), it gives me control. If you are in favor of just calling his reraise. Then on the turn when he makes a bet of 75 dollars then what?
Also I love calling with suited connectors 3-4 or above, especially in a mutliway pot. You have live cards, if you do turn trips or 2 pair its extremely hard to put you on, you have straight possibilities and flush possibilities, plus if you miss it is very easy to get away from, there arent many tough decisions
Also Chip, Im not jabbin at u with these questions, Im curious to know what u think about it.
