In theory, this sounds nice, but in reality, I don't make much money at all from this site. While I don't regret making this site by any means, and while I do still hope to be able to make decent money from it eventually, that isn't why I created it in the first place, nor why I continbue to invest my time into it now.
Other thoughts (as this subject matter hits kinda close to home for me):
1. I haven't read the article yet, but I don't think someone making $100/hour playing poker online sounds crazy AT ALL. In fact, I think it's very realistic... you just need to be a winning player playing higher stakes. Multitabling helps too. If I can average 3 BB/hour playing 5/10 short, that's $90 per hour if I play 3 tables at once. And that's only playing 5/10! Even if we conservatively knock that way down to $40 or $50 per hour (I would have to have one hell of a bad run, but you never know), surely you can see the potential to make a lot mroe than that by playing at higher limits, right?
2. Personally, no matter how much money I could earn from playing poker, I'm still going to have it be my secondary source of income. Why throw away a company that you've worked hard to build, only to rely on non-guaranteed money to pay your bills? Doesn't sound like the bet idea to me, but maybe that's just me...
