I think it's better to set yourself a healthy bankroll for your limit, and cash out every dollar above that every week or fortnight.

E.g. I keep $1,500 online for 5/10 and every week I cash out all money above $1,500. This helps you see the fruits of your labour as well as helping to prevent you from going up to higher limits.

I think the standard 300BB is a bit excessive for winning (!) limit players. Likewise I think that 20-30 buy-ins for NL players (e.g. 4-6k for $1/$2 NL) is far too much.
