Up until VERY recently, we never had a hold'em home game. Then N1kita and I hosted one a couple weeks ago. Since I had just been down to Kentucky and visited the Caesar's Indiana casino the week before the planned event, I picked up a $5 chip for each of us. Obviously completely different from the chips we use at home so no possibilty of any type of mistake.
The best part was at the casino itself. When the cashier found out they were for souvenirs, he went out of his way to find the best looking chips he could find. Now, it wasn't like he went on a two-hour search or anything but quickly looked through about 3 or 4 racks of chips for me. That really impressed me.
(Unfortunately, didn't actually get to play any poker while at the casino - they were running a $85+15 tourney and I missed the start.)
